As one talent show on network television ends, another one begins. America's Got Talent 2022 is just around the corner and audiences are set to see some of the country's most incredible acts grace the stage.

When Does America's Got Talent Start?

There is good news for fans of America's Got Talent. The 17th season will premiere on Tuesday, May 31 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

Episodes will air weekly until the live shows begin in August, where fans will be treated to a live show every Tuesday and the results show every Wednesday.

Who Are The America's Got Talent Judges?

Once again, Simon Cowell will be a judge on America's Got Talent's panel.

Cowell also serves as an executive producer on the show and had appeared as a judge on, America's Got Talent: The Champions and the latest addition to the franchise, America's Got Talent: Extreme.

America's Got Talent 2022 will be his seventh season of the show.

He will be joined by fashion icon Heidi Klum, comedian Howie Mandel, and actor Sofia Vergara.

Together, they will hold the power to make or break the act's performance. Each holds a red buzzer which will light up a huge red cross above the stage. If an act receives four red buzzers, they must stop performing.

On the other hand, the judges have access to a golden buzzer. Each judge has the opportunity to press their golden buzzer once, sending their favorite act straight through to the live shows.

Speaking to Access Hollywood ahead of the series premiere, Klum shared: "I always call it a 'rollercoaster of emotions,' because a person comes and they're singing. The next is an aerialist. The next one is a contortionist or a comedian. Everyone has a story to tell because they're real people. They're not actors. This is not a movie. This is real life. It's always fun to hear the stories...it never gets boring."

Who Will Host America's Got Talent?

Terry Crews will return to host America's Got Talent on NBC.

Crews have been hosting the show since 2014.

Audiences will most likely recognize Crews from his role as Julius Rock in Everybody Hates Chris and Terry Jeffords in Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Just like the judges, Crews also has access to a golden buzzer, giving him the chance to send his favorite act through to the live shows.

Who Are The America's Got Talent Acts?

At the moment, it is unknown who is competing in America's Got Talent and fans will be waiting a while to see who makes it to the live shows, set to air in August 2022.

However, ahead of The America's Got Talent premiere, NBC has released one of the most stand-out auditions of the new series for fans to watch.

On America's Got Talent social media channels, the audition of Mervant Vera was shared, already blowing audiences away.

Vera describes himself as a magician, mentalist, and hip-hop songwriter who combines magic and music to perform his incredible tricks.

For his audition, he performed a card trick and without giving anything away, let's just say, he got a standing ovation from the crowd and judges.
