Police in Atlanta, Georgia, are investigating the shooting of a DoorDash employee who was making a food delivery.
Atlanta police are still trying to determine the exact location of the shooting, but believe it took place near the Appletree Apartment Complex on Campbellton Road in the southwest of the Georgian state capital, where he was making a food drop-off, CBS 46 reported.
Police said that the DoorDash driver, identified by FOX 5 as 43-year-old Jerrel Felder, had apparently been delivering food at the complex when he was shot "multiple times" in the upper back and the hip.
Despite being shot and reeling from injuries, the victim still reportedly managed to drive himself to the nearby Atlanta Fire Station 5 at around 2 a.m local time on Wednesday morning.

He was found in the fire station's driveway and paramedics took him to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he is in a stable condition.
Atlanta police told WSB-TV News that there were currently no suspects and that investigators were still trying to figure out where the man was shot.
So far, no shell casings have been discovered in the area around the incident, only broken glass.
The preliminary investigation also "indicates the victim was driving while delivering food for his employer," the police department said in a statement, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
"When the victim arrived at his designated location, he suddenly heard several gunshots towards his vehicle," the statement added.
Images tweeted by Fox 5 Atlanta reporter Natalie Fultz appear to show the DoorDash driver's car with its windows broken on the back of a pickup truck .
The network also reported that police were looking into whether there had been more than one shooter and if the victim was deliberately targeted.
The victim was the only person in the car at the time and had food in the passenger seat so officers were also looking to determine if he managed to complete his delivery or if he had several, FOX 5 reported.
Police have appealed to the public for information. In a statement to Newsweek, Atlanta police said that the victim had heard "several gunshots towards his vehicle."
"Investigators met with the victim at the hospital to further investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing at this time," the statement added.
A DoorDash spokesperson said in a statement to Newsweek: "This heinous act of violence is deeply disturbing and we are actively working to get in touch with the individual to offer our support.
"The safety of our community is extremely important to us, and we are reaching out to law enforcement to assist in their investigation however we can."
In February, a police car in Portland, Oregon, hit a car driven by a DoorDash worker after officers mistook him for a hit-and-run suspect.
And, in January, a McDonald's worker in Memphis, Tennessee, was left in critical condition after being shot in the hand and abdomen by a DoorDash delivery driver.
