'I Couldn't Unsee It': Expectant Parents Told Baby Looks Like Donald Trump

A pregnant couple was left stunned after relatives pointed out their unborn baby bears an uncanny resemblance to former President Donald Trump on the ultrasound pictures they were given.

Trump has previously been hailed by some supporters as the second coming of Jesus. Now it appears the second coming of Trump could already be on the way after Los Angeles-based voice actor Jack Baca shared a picture of the unborn child his wife is 11 weeks pregnant with.

Baca told Newsweek that he and his wife are "absolutely thrilled" about having their first child together and are due to find out the gender in a couple of weeks.

Their excitement prompted them to share some ultrasound images of the baby with his wife's family. It was at that point that his mother-in-law blurted out: "That looks like Donald Trump!"

"As soon as she said it, from then on I couldn't unsee it. The lips, the hair, the tiny hands...the resemblance was bigly," Baca said. "We cracked jokes about it for the rest of the night and have now begun referring to her womb as Mom-a-Lago."

Some of the interest may be down to the fact that the chances of two people sharing the exact same facial features are less than 1 in 1 trillion, according to a 2015 study by scientists at the University of Adelaide. But while adult and baby lookalikes can occasionally appear, it's unheard of to identify a lookalike from within the womb.

Baca decided to share one of the pictures on social media. "I posted it to Reddit and didn't think much of it," he said. "Then about 40 minutes later my email notifications were buzzing nonstop and I saw that it was getting some serious attention."

At the time of writing, the post has been upvoted over 99,000 times, with Redditors flooding the comments section with any number of Trump-related quips and quotes.

"Congrats!" Tcairlines wrote. "The baby is like 'I have the best gestation. All the other babies are jealous of my gestation...'" Fernshade added: "TREMENDOUS gestation."

Regoapps commented: "Looks like the baby's trying to say 'Yuge.'" YeuxBleuDeux, meanwhile, said: "That's a great looking baby. The best. Looks like they'll be hugely popular, so very extremely popular that you can't even believe it. Trust me."

Baca has been blown away by the response to his post.

"At first we were a little worried, but the comments were hilarious, and 99 percent of them were just joining in on the fun. The other 1 percent... well the internet is the internet," he said.

"Some people thought it was a good thing. Some offered their condolences. Most people just made a good Trump baby joke. I was actually relieved to see that there was barely any serious political ranting in the thread."

Baca is keen to stress that while he and his wife "vote blue" and are not Trump fans, they are not concerned about the child actually looking like the former president.

"The scan is actually showing the back side of the baby per the doctor, so we aren't upset or bothered by this at all," he said. "Even if they end up a spitting image, we're absolutely in love with this baby."

Ultimately, he's just happy to have shared something that has given people from across the political spectrum enjoy a "good sensible chuckle."

"If my baby even minutely alleviated this exhausting divisive climate, and brought us together for even one little, tiny, baby-sized moment on the internet, then I'm already the proudest dad on the planet," he said.

Baca has now immortalized the image in the form of an NFT with all of the proceeds going into a savings account for the unborn child.
