Sarah Hamrick has revealed why she left Bachelor in Paradise Season 8.
The 24-year-old joined the cast of the ABC dating show on October 17 and was one of five new women who arrived during the show's "split week," which saw the original boys and girls separated for a week and new cast members joining both groups to shake things up.
Despite having only just recently joined the show, on the October 31 episode of Bachelor in Paradise, host Jesse Palmer revealed Hamrick had left the beach due to a family emergency.
Following the airing of the episode, Hamrick has spoken out on social media about the real reason behind her exit.

Hamrick, who works as a wealth management advisor in New York City, revealed that she had to leave Bachelor in Paradise as her grandmother passed away.
Posting a slideshow of pictures of herself to her 71,200 followers, Hamrick shared the caption: "Opening myself up to another chance at love here was a challenge in itself, but when my grandma passed, having one of the most vulnerable and heartbreaking moments of my life captured while being there was something I never expected."
She continued: "While I wish things had gone differently for myself and my family back home, I hope this can be a reminder that all of us on the show are real people, with real lives and families beyond what you may see on TV.
"When those worlds intersect like it did for me, it reminds me of what's really important, and to just be kind. I hope this can remind you of the same as you continue to enjoy watching paradise unfold. All love, thank you so much for all your support."
Newsweek has contacted representatives for Hamrick for comment.

Fans of The Bachelor will remember that Hamrick first appeared in the franchise during Clayton Echard's season of The Bachelor earlier in 2022.
During her brief stint on Bachelor in Paradise she shared a date with Logan Palmer, but he decided to pursue her friend Kate Gallivan instead.
Hamrick took to Twitter after scenes of Palmer and Gallivan's romance blossoming were aired, saying: "I felt betrayed by a friend and a guy I liked when it happened but it's honestly even worse than I thought watching it back."

Elsewhere on Bachelor in Paradise, twins Joey and Justin Young are set to join the cast.
The pair made their TV debut during Season 19 of The Bachelorette where the brothers, who are from Brookefield, Connecticut, were seen looking for love with Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia.
Justin Glaze, who has already featured on this season of Bachelor in Paradise, has also made a shock return and has ruffled a few feathers by making a beeline for co-star Eliza Isichei.
Bachelor in Paradise airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
