The Bachelorette Season 19 has asked one question dozens of times throughout the three episodes so far—how is the season going to work with Gabby and Rachel as the joint lead?
Episode 3 of the 2022 season finally answered that question. The ABC show saw the pair divide the group by giving roses to the men they wanted—though the men were able to reject the roses if they had their eye on the other woman.
By the end of the episode (which is streaming now on Hulu), four men had not been picked by either Rachel or Gabby and were sent home. However, the ABC show ended with one of them making a last-ditch attempt to be saved.
Here's who we said goodbye to in the latest episode of The Bachelorette.
Alec Garza

The 27-year-old wedding photographer from Houston, Texas, rejected Rachel's rose, saying: "I just don't think I'm the right one for you." Sadly for him, Gabby did not think he was the right one either, so he was shown the door.
In case Alec has made as little an impression on you as he did on Gabby, here's a reminder of who he is. Alec was the one who got the entire glee club to sing that very (very, very) long song that was mostly about how terrible Clayton was. Sadly, getting the school group in was not enough to stop him flunking out of The Bachelorette early.
Jacob Rapini

Also 27, Jacob is a mortgage broker from Sonora, California. Jacob, of course, was the long-haired lothario who came into Week 1 shirtless on a horse. He was also the person who told Gabby, "if you were the only person here, I don't think I could have the heart to continue."
These harsh words sealed Jacob's fate. It was he who made Gabby worry the men had too much power, so sending him home was an obvious power move to reset the balance in the Bachelorettes' favor.
Termayne Harper

The self-described "crypto guy," 28, from Naperville, Illinois, started Episode 3 by saying: "I feel like I already know something is there with me and Gabby. But I still have to explore Rachel and I's connection first before I can, you know, choose a lane here."
Eventually, he seemed to choose Gabby's "lane." When Rachel tried to give him a rose, he said: "I am going to have to decline the rose. I feel like I have a deeper connection with Gabby." Gabby, however, decided to break that connection by sending Termayne home.
Meatball

One of those guys you meet who builds their personality entirely around one thing, James "Meatball" Clake, 25, brought a giant meatball sub on the first week. The next time we saw him, he was feeding Gabby and Rachel spaghetti and (you guessed it) meatballs.
The Winnetka, Illinois, resident and "meatball enthusiast" (as his official ABC bio reads) also rejected Rachel's rose, but Gabby showed solidarity with her show sister by rolling Meatball out of the door...
...but she did not fully succeed. The episode ended with Meatball pleading for more time with Rachel, the woman he just rejected. Will she take him back? The fact that Gabby has nine men left and Rachel only eight suggests, sadly, that she will.
The Bachelorette Season 19 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
