A baseball fan has shared the clever way she got around the "no backpack" policy at the Phillies stadium.

Alexa Jo arrived at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, carrying a small round bag with two shoulder straps.

But as she explained in a video on her TikTok account, @alexajo64, officials said the bag fell foul of its security policy, which states that backpacks aren't allowed.

Alexa Jo, who shared the clip last week, said: "Security told me I couldn't go into the Phillies game."

The video then shows Alexa Jo and the man with her attempting to "customize" the small black bag so it meets the rules.

They pull at the shoulder straps and the man manages to yank one of them off, allowing Alexa Jo to wear the bag over one shoulder like a purse.

"This is what happens when you're too lazy to walk back to the car. It's called fashion, honey," she joked in the clip.

She added: "Don't worry, it was only $5."

Many TikTok users have commented on the video—which has amassed more than 1.1 million views—sharing alternative ideas she could have tried.

Big Happy Boi wrote: "Or use both loops 1 shoulder?"

Sharing a similar idea, Zaskia Lee commented: "I would put one loop and zip it inside."

Gina_Marie posted: "Wow just twist them together. Tie it up, hide inside, didn't need to break it."

Cyann thought: "There were several other options."

Kayla shared her own similar experience, saying: "I went to a Padres game and they said I couldn't bring my fanny pack so I took everything out, folded it up, and put it in my jacket pocket."

Kirstie Casper wrote: "The dedication of Philly fans."

Charlotte questioned the stadium's policy, writing: "It's so crazy. Not allowed backpack but now it's got one strap it's fine."

The stadium's website states: "In an effort to expedite entry, guests are prohibited from bringing bags to the ballpark. Only purses, medical bags and diaper bags will be permitted into Citizens Bank Park. Backpacks are no longer permitted.

"Approved bags (purses, medical bags and diaper bags) can be no larger than 16" x 16" x 8" and will be subject to inspection upon entry in accordance with Major League Baseball security regulations. Guests may discard or return the prohibited items to their vehicle, as well as store them in a new BinBox locker on Citizens Bank Way ($10 fee)."
