Music is an important aspect of any film, and this is certainly the case with Mamoru Hosoda's new film Belle.
The anime charts lead character Suzu's the journey of self-discovery as she becomes an internet sensation for her singing abilities under the pseudonym Belle, which she uses in a virtual world named "U."
As such, the film, which is out in theaters in the U.S. now and will be released in the U.K. on February 4, features a stellar soundtrack that is available in both Japanese and English.

In the virtual world of "U" Suzu, aka Belle, is able to find her voice again with the help of anonymity.
Suzu struggled to sing up until the point she joined the social media platform because she associated it with memories of her late mother, who passed away after saving another person's child when she was young.
But thanks to her time in "U" Suzu is able to learn to come to terms with her grief and let her voice shine through her Belle persona.
The character is voiced by singer Kaho Nakamura in the film's original Japanese and by Kylie McNeill in its English dub, and both musicians perform the songs that are given to Belle in the anime.
Nakamura and McNeill perform the songs "U," "Whispers," "Gales of Song," "Swarms of Song," Fama Destinata," "Lend Me Your Voice," "A Million Miles Away," "Skies of Song," and "Faces in the Rain" in the Japanese and English-language version of the film, respectively.
The soundtrack for Belle is available in its original Japanese and in English, with the former featuring Nakamura and the latter having McNeill's iteration of the songs.
