The department identified one of the people who was killed as 20-year-old Kalem Buford.
"He was dropped off by private vehicle at Centennial Medical Center. The second man fatally shot died at the scene. His identity has not yet been confirmed. Detectives are pursuing active leads," the department wrote on Twitter, and urged those with information to contact them.

Shootings at Other Parties
In a separate incident earlier this month, police in Virginia said that a shooting at a party left seven people injured and one dead. Police said that six people suffered gunshot wounds and two others had suffered "non-firearm related injuries." Police said more than 50 shots were fired at the scene, with a local newspaper reporting that neighbors saw cars swerving, and party-goers fighting and wandering into driveways before the shooting broke out.
In May, a shooting at a graduation party with at least 200 people in attendance saw one person killed. Others were taken to the hospital as result of their injuries, including a 17-year-old who was airlifted to the hospital. Police said they believed the shooting started after a fight broke out between attendees.
Last weekend, an 11-year-old girl in Detroit was killed during a sleepover when a shooter opened fire outside of a home.
"Someone shot up the house from outside, striking the 11-year-old, who was in the home with five other children. It appears they were having a sleepover," Detroit Police Chief James White said during a press conference.
Five other children and two adults were inside the home at the time, but no one else was injured during the shooting, police said.
"We don't have a whole lot, other than another child from our city being shot, this one fatally, due to some adult nonsense, obviously, that she has nothing to do with," White added.
