A Border Collie's reaction to being told he's on Santa's "naughty list" this year has TikTok users in hysterics.
In a video shared on December 13, Scamp can be seen waiting patiently while his owner @mikewtok talks on the phone with "Santa Claus."
"Hello, is that Father Christmas?" @mikewtok asks. "I've got Scamp here, I know he's on the naughty list, but he's going to try harder. I know he's running out of time."
He then lists all of the presents the 2-year-old dog would like for Christmas this year, including a ball, a toy, some treats, a puzzle, a bone and to go for a "run around." Scamp's ears perk up at the sound of "bone," although the prospect of a new puzzle has him yawning.
@mikewtok Poor Scamp. He does try but sometimes he just can’t control himself. #dogsoftiktok #bordercollie #santaclaus

Unfortunately, Santa's response was not what the dog wanted to hear.
"Ok, yeah, I will tell him though. He said you're on the naughty list Scamp," @mikewtok said to the disappointed-looking pup.
TikTok users couldn't get enough of Scamp's sweet face, with the footage receiving over 270,000 views and nearly 18,000 likes since being posted.

Where Does Santa's 'Naughty List' Come From?
Although the real Saint Nick is believed to have been born in 280 A.D. (which would make Santa Claus 1,742 years old), the idea of his "naughty list" is from 1934.
Allegedly, the naughty list was invented by songwriters John Fredrick Coots and Haven Gillespie for the Christmas classic Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
Gillespie wrote the lyrics while Coots composed the music. It includes the line: "He's making a list, he's checking it twice, he's gonna find out who's naughty or nice."
The song was an instant hit. After being played on the Eddie Cantor Thanksgiving radio show, it began to sell 25,000 a day, reaching 400,000 by Christmas.
Cantor sang the original version, but the track has since been re-recorded many times, including by Bruce Springsteen, The Beach Boys, Justin Bieber, Dolly Parton and Mariah Carey.
The "naughty list" has since taken on a life of its own, with mall Santas known for asking kids if they've been "naughty or nice." However, a little girl kid recently went viral for adding her own response of "decent" to the possible options, leaving Reddit users in stitches.
'I Spoke to Santa and He Said He Is on the Good Boy List'
TikTokers refused to believe that Scamp is on the naughty list, with user Peski demanding that Santa give the dog "everything he wants right this second."
"Scamp is an angel," she said.
"I spoke to Santa and he said he is on the good boy list," Linda 30 wrote. "Santa says if anybody says different they are on the naughty list."
"Petition has been signed for scamp to be taken off the naughty list with immediate affect," Jessica Louise Jacks said.
"Put him on the nice list IMMEDIATELY or I swear to God..." Bappy McGee warned.
"How can he be on the Naughty List. Butter wouldn't melt," Tony Reynolds commented. "Hope Santa gives him what he wants."
Newsweek has reached out to @mikewtok for comment.
Scamp isn't the only canine to land on Santa's bad side this year. A cute clip of a Golden Retriever caught stealing Christmas ornaments has been watched 1.4 million times on TikTok, while another dog was filmed pinching her own gift from under the tree.
