This toddler may only be six months old, but he's already got a friend for life in the shape of his canine sibling, Charlie the boxer.
On the day Levi was brought home by his parents, Brandon and Katelyn Berkshire, Charlie was waiting eagerly to meet the newest addition, and they've formed an unbreakable bond ever since. It's been so special and rewarding for new dad Brandon Berkshire, 38, to see the love between Levi and Charlie, he tells Newsweek that they've "been the best of friends from the very beginning."
While the "best friends" have many favorite pastimes, including taking naps and snacking, their newest love is watching the television together, particularly Bluey. But simply sitting together isn't enough, as Levi already knows that stroking Charlie's back while she enjoys the show with him will make her even happier.
Brandon Berkshire, from Pennsylvania, first captured the moment to share with his wife, but he couldn't resist also uploading it to social media. He posted the adorable clip on TikTok (@bberk1121) of Levi stroking Charlie while they watched TV together, and it quickly went viral with more than 8.9 million views and 1.6 million likes.

He continued: "This was the first time I caught him petting her, but they sit together often. Greeting Charlie is one of the first things Levi does every morning.
"Charlie has truly been the best big sister. So often kids and dogs do not mix well, but we took all the proper steps to help make the transition smooth by bringing his hospital hat home and allowing her to have it for a few days before we came home with him. We knew she would do fine. When my wife was pregnant, she would lay her head on my wife's belly quite often."
Boxers are renowned for being a wonderful family pet, as the American Kennel Club (AKC) suggests that their patience and protective instincts makes them a perfect fit for a household with children. They will take their duty as the watchdog incredibly seriously, but from time to time they are also more than happy to show off their goofy, playful side.
Charlie has certainly demonstrated how protective and cautious she is with Levi, as Brandon Berkshire joked that they will sometimes even joke that "Levi is really Charlie's baby."
"When we come home from being away from the house, Charlie will wait for my wife, Katelyn, or myself to take Levi out of his carrier before she will go outside to use the bathroom. We have to bend down with him in our arms and let her greet him. This has happened since the beginning," he told Newsweek.
While he hoped that social media users would enjoy the heartwarming video of Levi and Charlie watching TV together, he never expected it to generate quite as much attention as it has done. The new parents have loved seeing the blossoming friendship between Levi and Charlie, but sharing that joy with their social media followers has made it all the more special.
"I kind of thought people might enjoy it, but not to the extent that it has gone viral. I have loved reading the comments, especially the ones about them looking alike."

With more than 2,800 comments on the viral post in just over a week, many TikTok users have praised the loving friendship between the duo, especially as Levi is so happy to give his big sister some fuss while they unwind together.
One comment reads: "that baby is relaxing with his bestie after a hard day's work."
Another person responded: "Boxers are such good family dogs! Loyal as can be! This is priceless."
While one TikToker jested: "They are clearly siblings, they look so much alike."
