Brad Pitt was spotted at the United States Grand Prix over the weekend as new details emerge about his upcoming Formula 1 movie.

More than 400,000 fans descended upon the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas for the three-day event, which kicked off on Friday, October 21.

As for Pitt, 58, the Bullet Train actor was there for business as much as for pleasure.

Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali recently confirmed the F1 movie, featuring Pitt, will start shooting in the second half of 2023.

Although Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz took the pole position during Saturday's qualifying session, Red Bull's Max Verstappen came out on top on Sunday, securing the constructor's championship win for the team.

At one point in the race Verstappen, 25, had to overcome a slow pit stop, which allowed Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton to take the lead.

"Beautiful, f***ing beautiful," Verstappen sarcastically said on his team radio after the stop.

Ultimately, however, the two-time world champion was able to make his way back to first place, breezing past Hamilton, 37, with just six laps to go.

A-listers lined the track to watch the drama unfold including Pitt, Ed Sheeran, Shaquille O'Neal, Chloë Grace Moretz, Wyclef Jean, Ben Stiller, Dax Shepard, Kristen Bell and more.

O'Neal had the honor of delivering Verstappen's winning trophy to him in the "longhorn car," Sky Sports broadcaster David Croft said.

"There are ways to travel around here Martin," he told co-host Martin Brundle, "and if you're Shaquille O'Neal, there is only one way to travel."

Meanwhile, Geri Halliwell, former Spice Girl and wife of Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner, took to Instagram on Sunday to post several photos with Sheeran.

"Ginger strategy... " she cheekily captioned the snaps.

The Good Place actress Bell shared a slew of pics and videos of her own via Instagram too.

"@f1 photo dump! Thank u Austin, @mclaren, Blake the best tour guide in the biz, @danielricciardo @redbullmotorsports and @chrysler for an absolutely incredible day! #3" the 42-year-old wrote, referring to McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo.

Domenicali confirmed that the movie featuring Pitt will film on race weekends next year.

Following the global success of Netflix's Drive to Survive, Domenicali said the film just makes sense.

"I'm very excited because we are somewhere where people think, 'What's next?'" he told Autosport.

"This is another step in the growth. We truly believe that it will enable F1 to be in another dimension that was not explored so deeply, and so well, until today."

"You will see a lot of things will happen next year on the preparation, and it's exciting because all the teams will be involved, the drivers, everyone. So it's fantastic," Domenicali continued. "We are already planning all the activity and the activation that needs to be done in a real race weekend, we're going to start in the second half of the season for the production."

Domenicali added that they are "still working on the details," but it will be "quite interesting," to see how it all unfolds.

Hamilton, who is a co-producer on the film, said over the weekend, per RaceFans, that he's "really, really excited" about the project. "I have such high hopes for it."

"I know we're going to make the best racing movie that's ever existed."

Domenicali praised Hamilton as a producer, noting the seven-time world champion's expertise is key to the movie's success.

"Lewis will be very important because he loves this new project, and he will keep the right authenticity to the movie that will be produced," he told Autosport.

A release date for the untitled film has not yet been announced.
