On its website, the Gable House Bowl is described as a gaming venue that offers bowling, laser tag and a full arcade. The venue, which is located at at 22501 Hawthorne Boulevard, near Sepulveda, closes at 3 a.m. on Saturday mornings.

A Torrance resident who was at the bowling alley with his teenage neice and cousin reported seeing a "huge fight" breaking out, which then descended into "complete chaos."

"I grabbed my niece and started running towards the far end of the bowling alley," Wes Hamad was quoted as saying by The Associated Press. "As we were running, we heard 15 shots."

Damone Thomas was also at the venue at the time of the shooting. The 30-year-old told The Associated Press he and his friends hid behind a table they had flipped over as gunshots were fired. Thomas, who was in the karaoke section of the Gable House, explained he was "just trying to survive" as chaos broke out.

A third witness, Jesus Perez, said he heard around four gunshots. "We just ran right into the bar and took cover," he was quoted as saying by the Los Angeles Times. "All we heard was just, like two people got shot. We heard there was a big fight before that. We just ran into the bar and we just took cover because after the fight we heard 'pop! pop!'"

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call Torrance police at (310) 328-3456.
