Daniel Paul Gray appeared before a federal judge on Wednesday in Jacksonville, Florida, following his arrest on Tuesday for taking part in the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

One of the charges he faces is for forcibly pushing a female police officer down the stairs in the building, which he allegedly bragged about later online.

According to an FBI statement, Gray posted a video on Instagram following the riot, in which he spoke of his involvement in it. He allegedly detailed joining other insurrectionists in pushing police, which the statement claims he said " [w]e pushed them from the front to the back of the Capitol."

He also reportedly said, "this is by far from over, that was the coolest thing I've done in my life, so stayed tuned."

The federal charges against Gray include forcibly assaulting, resisting, impeding and interfering with police; engaging in acts of physical violence in the Capitol; and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

U.S. Magistrate Joel Toomey allowed Gray to be released on a $25,000 bond. Another hearing was scheduled for Monday that will attempt to identify if it was Gray seen in body-cam video footage recorded on January 6. In the video, a person believed to be Gray is seen assaulting an officer.

If he is verified as the person in the video, he will then appear before a judge in Washington, D.C.

The FBI complaint describes that in the video "Gray is clearly visible in the front row of rioters," and he later appeared to grab a female police officer's baton and push against it, causing the officer to lose her balance and fall down some stairs.

The female officer was said to be injured, though the extent of her injuries have not been reported.

The alleged altercation with the female officer occurred after Gray forcibly "stormed" the office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, the FBI statement said.

According to the FBI complaint, three witnesses identified Gray as being the operator of the Instagram account "Daniel_King_Ginger_Gray," which contains the videos describing his alleged involvement. The account has since been set to private.

The FBI statement also contains reports that Gray is shown inside the Capitol via multiple body cameras worn by the Metropolitan Police Department during the riot. He is also reportedly seen in the body-cam footage beckoning other rioters to join him at an entrance, before he then pushes the officer, who is described as possibly disoriented from a chemical irritant that was deployed in an attempt to disperse the mob.

More than 430 people have been charged for participating in the Capitol riot that resulted in five people dying, including U.S. Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick.
