Singer and fashion mogul Rihanna announced that she is expecting her first child with rapper A$AP Rocky, and the internet wasted no time in offering congratulations to the happy couple.

The two released a series of photographs in New York City taken over the weekend, in which Rihanna debuted her baby bump beneath a pink unbuttoned vintage Chanel jacket and body jewels.

Rapper Cardi B posted the photo on her Instagram story, saying, "OMG!!!! Congrats" while tagging Rihanna.

Nicki Minaj also offered her congratulations, writing on her Instagram story, "Congratulations RIH!!!!!" tagging both Rihanna and boyfriend A$AP Rocky with several heart-eye emojis.

Shortly after, she posted a photo to her feed, sharing the maternity photos along with the caption, "so happy for you mama," along with a few emojis. "conquered the world already. Given so much. Nothing left to prove. you deserve your own little gift now. Different level of joy that money can't buy."

Bella Hadid also took to Instagram: "HOLY SLAY," she wrote in her story. "Congrats to the holy duo!!!!!!"

Twitter reactions poured in as well as fans shared the photos with excitement.

JT, one-half of the hip-hop duo City Girls, tweeted, "Omfg, congratulations Rihanna" with a heart emoji.

Paris Hilton also tweeted, "Congratulations Queen! So exciting! So happy for you," tagging Rihanna. "You look so beautiful and are going to be an amazing mother."

One Twitter user wrote, "crazy how rihanna and asap rocky are about to have the most beautiful talented kid that has ever existed good for them."

After years of friendship, the couple has been dating since November 2020. In May in an interview with GQ, A$AP Rocky called Rihanna "the love of my life."

A$AP told interviewers that being in a relationship with her was "so much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones."

"I think when you know, you know. She's the One," he added.

When asked last year if he was ready to have kids, the rapper said, "I think I'd be an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very."

And even before she and A$AP Rocky were officially dating, Rihanna hinted at her desire to become a mother. She told British Vogue in March of 2020, "I'll have kids—three or four of 'em."

During the interview, the singer stated that she would have kids even if she hadn't found the one yet. "They [society] diminish you as a mother if there's not a dad in your kids' lives," she said. "But the only thing that matters is happiness, that's the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child. That's the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love."
