If you thought that cats couldn't feel jealousy, you're wrong. One dramatic feline from New York City has left the internet in stitches after her mom revealed her latest jealousy episode on social media.
In a clip shared on TikTok on Wednesday, under the username @mallorybogard4, the tabby cat, Cathy, can be seen standing between her mom and her work-from-home laptop, angry at the thought that she chose to pet it over her.
The poster can be heard telling her: "Listen, I'm not petting the computer over you. I'm working. It's how I pay for snacks. Yes, it's how I pay for the snacks that you eat. It's on the computer. That's how I afford the cans on that thing. I'm not petting it; there's work in that plastic thing."
The hilarious clip comes with a caption that reads: "If I could tell Cathy anything, it would be that I'm not petting the laptop."

PetMD says that, while cats can get jealous, they express it in a different way than humans. In felines, jealousy can present as aggression, usually toward other cats that threaten their security.
The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 635,000 views and 123,000 likes on the platform.
