Finding the right interior decor can be difficult, but this woman certainly wasn't expecting her cat to be provide the biggest criticism of her ornament for spooky season.

When it gets to October, cat owner Alexandra Macupova loves to decorate her home for Halloween, which means each year she brings out a black glittery ornament that's shaped like a cat. The only problem she faces is that her actual pet, Pheebo, hates the decoration and is willing to put up a stern fight against it.

Macupova, from Liverpool, U.K., filmed the moment when Pheebo had enough and he pounced on the decoration, tackling it to the ground. The hilarious clip was shared on TikTok (@alexsfancyvideos) on October 3 and has already amassed over 695,000 views and 87,000 likes in a matter of days.

It may have been entertaining for Macupova to see her kitty put on such a display at first, but she responded to a commenter to explain that Pheebo will be "attacking on [the] daily."

This is because pouncing and stalking prey are innate feline behaviors, and it can be an enjoyable playtime experience for them too. Cats have a natural instinct to hunt and catch their prey, so Hill's Pet Nutrition says that they will go through the full ritual even if they know the prey isn't alive.

The predatory sequence will start with very slow movements before they start to stalk, and only once they're in the perfect position will they pounce. Kittens will start to show signs as early as 9 weeks old, and it's not a behavior that goes away, as older cats often still enjoy testing their skills later in life.

It is not a behavior that should be reprimanded or discouraged, as Hill's Pet Nutrition suggests getting toys that the cat can stalk and pounce on at home. This can provide exercise benefits as well as a good bonding experience.

Alongside the viral video, Macupova wrote in the TikTok caption: "Hope this gets [the] love it deserves." The clip has undoubtedly received plenty of love as many social media users have hailed Pheebo's feisty battle and insisted that it was completely necessary.

Among the 200 comments on the post, one person responded: "He is a very brave warrior!"

Another TikTok user commented: "It must be very entertaining to watch."

While other social media users joked that the fight could only have one winner, as another comment reads: "He won fair and square."
