Some of the biggest names in show business may be forced to leave their homes from mudslides caused by "the largest storm of the season," according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Mudslides on Lockridge Road in Fryman Canyon have caused the evacuation of 16 people in two homes, "in case further soil instability causes another flow," according to Los Angeles firefighters. The area, and Lockridge Road especially, is home to a number of celebrities including Leah Remini, Bruno Mars, George Clooney and Zooey Deschanel. Firefighters confirmed all nine houses on that road have now been fully evacuated, including pets, and there were no injuries.
Californians have been warned of life-threatening and locally catastrophic floods as an "atmospheric river" weather system moving across the state.

"A strong Pacific storm system will bring impactful and dangerous flooding rains, heavy snow, strong winds, coastal flooding, and high surf to California," the NWS said early on Tuesday morning.
"Heavy rainfall will bring the threat for life-threatening flash, urban, and river flooding as well as debris flows and mudslides. High elevation snow may produce whiteout conditions and dangerous, near impossible travel conditions."
It is not known if the celebrities were home at the time of evacuation.
Lockridge Road and Fryman Canyon are in the celebrity-heavy area of Los Angeles known as Studio City.
Clooney bought his home there from Fleetwood Mac legend Stevie Nicks for $2.2 million and spent years expanding the 7,354 square feet property, the actor said in a 2012 interview with CBS' Person to Person program.
"A home is a place where your family and friends are a part of," Clooney added at the time. "That's one of the wonderful things about where I've been for so long. I've been here for almost 20 years, and it's filled with good friends and family members."
Fryman Canyon experienced a celebrity boom in the 2010s, which is when musician Bruno Mars first bought in the area.
He purchased his 9,000-square-foot home for $6.5 million in 2015, and it features a wine cellar, family room with a bar, a children's wing with two bedrooms, steam baths and dry saunas, an infinity pool and heated cabana, and a children's playground, according to Architectural Digest.
However, actress Leah Remini has been trying to sell her Fryman Canyon home and dropped the price for a third time in November 2023. She originally bought the home in 2003 for a modest $3.75 million, and it sits in the quiet Lockridge Road cul-de-sac.
After listing it for the first time in late 2022, Remini dropped the asking price to $12.5 million, according to Realtor.com.
Residents of California should check the National Weather Service for the most up-to-date forecasts in their areas.
