Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas met in 2016, when the singer slid into the Game of Thrones star's DMs. The pair got hitched in a surprise Las Vegas wedding in 2019, followed by a ritzy celebration at the Château de Tourreau in France.

The couple welcomed daughter Willa in 2020, followed by Delphine in 2022, but largely kept their family life out of the spotlight.

Although Jonas had been spotted without his wedding ring, fans were still stunned when the 34-year-old filed for divorce in September.

A source with "direct knowledge" told TMZ that "partying" by the actress was to blame for the split, as well as her desire to work while he looked after their two children.

However, Turner fans blamed the singer's PR team for the rumors, accusing Jonas of trying to make the 27-year-old look like a bad mother—leading to fierce backlash online.

The situation escalated later that month, when Turner sued Jonas for the "wrongful retention" of Willa and Delphine, claiming that the boyband star refused to hand over their children's passports.

The girls had stayed with Jonas in the U.S. during August, while Turner filmed the TV drama Joan in the U.K. Turner wanted to bring the girls to England, where they had originally planned to raise them.

The former couple began selling their assets in November, which included putting their New York condo on the market for $5.99 million. Turner has since begun dating British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson.

Cardi B and Offset went on their first official date in February 2017, with the musical duo attending the Super Bowl. They confirmed their relationship that summer, getting married in September 2017.

However, a video that purportedly showed Offset—real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus—cheating on the 31-year-old hip-hop star with an unknown woman leaked that same month, followed by a second clip featuring another anonymous woman in January 2018.

Cardi B—who was born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar—defended her relationship with the 32-year-old in an Instagram Live, although her message suggested the affair reports were true.

The Grammy winner also appeared to confirm the cheating rumors onstage during a gig in February 2018, warning Offset: "You pull that s*** again, you gonna lose your wife."

The couple appeared to work through the issue and get their relationship back on track, with the "Bodak Yellow" songstress announcing her pregnancy during a Saturday Night Live! performance in April 2018. Their daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus was born a few months later, but Cardi B announced their first split in December 2018.

They reunited early the following year, although Cardi B later admitted to filing for divorce in 2020. The couple reunited once again, with their son, Wave Set Cephus, born in April 2022.

In June, Offset accused Cardi B of cheating on him in a now-deleted Instagram Story post. The Love & Hip Hop: New York star defended herself on X, formerly Twitter, claiming that the "Ric Flair Drip" rapper was "spiraling and thinking s***."

In December, Cardi B declared herself single, suggesting that the on-again-off-again relationship is over for good.

"I've been single for a minute now," she said in an Instagram Live. "But I've been afraid to like ... Not afraid, I just don't know how to tell the world."

Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson

Joshua Jackson and soon-to-be ex-wife Jodie Turner-Smith reportedly met at Usher's 40th birthday bash in October 2018, leading to a steamy "three-night stand."

The Dawson's Creek actor and the Queen & Slim star got engaged while vacationing in Nicaragua in January 2019. They tied the knot that summer, with their daughter Juno Rose Diana Jackson born in April 2020.

There were reports that the couple had split in September 2022, after Turner-Smith and Jackson unfollowed one another on Instagram. However, the 45-year-old actor soon returned to posting loved-up snaps of his wife on social media, putting the breakup rumors to rest.

However, Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Jackson in October, citing "irreconcilable differences."

A source told People magazine that the 37-year-old actress was "done," claiming that the marriage had become "unhealthy."

"They are on very different paths in life," the source said. "Jodie loves being a mom. She also loves working."

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari

After a rocky decade in the public eye, it looked like Britney Spears had finally gotten her happy ending with Sam Asghari.

The pop icon met the model in 2016, when he starred in the video for her track "Slumber Party." The 42-year-old singer announced their relationship on Instagram in January 2017, regularly gushing about the aspiring actor on social media over the next two years.

In April 2019, Asghari supported Spears through a mental health crisis, with the duo making their red carpet debut later that year. Asghari also spoke at Spears' conservatorship hearing in June 2021, along with posting a selfie wearing a #FreeBritney T-shirt.

After the conservatorship—in which her father Jamie Spears was given control of her estate—was lifted in September 2021, the couple decided to wed, tying the knot in a small ceremony in June 2022.

However, Asghari filed for divorce just 14 months later. The 29-year-old cited "irreconcilable differences," although unconfirmed rumors spread that the former teen idol had cheated.

Asghari came under intense scrutiny online following the divorce news. The personal trainer faced "gold-digger" accusations, with the "iron-clad prenuptial agreement" he signed becoming a hot topic on social media.

Spears' social media also caused a stir, with the "Toxic" singer posting a series of cryptic messages to Instagram.

Nevertheless, the VMA winner had only good things to say about Asghari in her 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me, describing him as a "gift from God" and a stable influence in her life.

"That made me smile, to be honest," Asghari said in response to Spears' praise. "I am freaking proud of her and I hope she takes over the world."

Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez

Ariana Grande and ex-husband Dalton Gomez reportedly began dating in January 2020. After a number of high-profile romances—including a broken engagement to comedian Pete Davidson and a two-year relationship with the late rapper Mac Miller—Grande decided to keep her romance with Gomez on the down-low.

The couple were caught smooching in a bar in February 2020, with TMZ dubbing Gomez the star's "mystery man." The 28-year-old made a cameo in Grande's "Stuck With U" music video a month later, with the duo announcing their engagement in December 2020.

Grande married the luxury real estate agent in May 2021 in a "tiny and intimate" ceremony. Earlier this year, the 30-year-old pop star celebrated their second anniversary with a wedding snap on Instagram, writing "I love him so."

However, Grande sparked divorce rumors just two months later, when she was photographed at a Wimbledon match without her wedding ring. The couple confirmed their separation shortly afterward, with Gomez reportedly struggling with Grande's "celebrity status."

Rumors that Grande was hooking up with Wicked co-star Ethan Slater started making the rounds in July, the same month he filed for divorce from Lilly Jay. The 31-year-old Broadway star married his childhood sweetheart in 2018, with the couple's son born in August 2022.

A statement Jay gave to Page Six suggested that Grande was behind the split, saying: "[Ariana's] the story really. Not a girl's girl. My family is just collateral damage."

A source told the Daily Mail that the rumored couple had been having an affair for months before Slater filed for divorce, and were "very sloppy" at hiding the romance.

"They were seen being all over each other while he was still supposedly happily married to Lilly," the source claimed.

Grande and Dalton have yet to publicly confirm a relationship, with a source telling People in November they are "just trying to navigate their new relationship in private."

They were thought to be one of Hollywood's strongest couples, but Hugh Jackman, 55, and Deborra-Lee Furness, 68, announced their separation in September after almost three decades of marriage.

The pair met in 1995 while filming the TV show Correlli. Thirteen years Jackman's senior, Furness was already a big name in their native Australia, with the up-and-coming actor in awe of his co-star.

Recalling his first glimpse of Furness, Jackman told Jess Cagle in 2017: "I get picked up and Deb is in the front seat of the car. I'll never forget.

"She took off her seatbelt, and she turned around and put out her hand and took off her sunglasses and said, 'Hi, I'm Deborra-Lee Furness, nice to meet you.' I remember thinking, 'I like this girl.'"

Furness and Jackman married in 1996 and later adopted son Oscar, 23, and daughter Ava, 18. The couple appeared loved-up during their many red carpet appearances over the years, celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary in 2016.

In 2019, the X-Men actor claimed "intimacy" was the secret to his marriage's longevity.

"People talk about intimacy and assume that means in the bedroom," he told People magazine. "Of course it is that, but really, intimacy is being able to share everything together—good, bad, fears, successes."

It was the duo's 27th wedding anniversary in April, and they made their final public appearance as a couple at the Met Gala in May.

In September, Furness and Jackman announced they were separating with a shared statement.

"We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth," the former couple said.

"Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives."

Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello

Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello first met at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner in 2014, while the Modern Family star was engaged to businessman Nick Loeb.

Harboring a crush on the Colombian beauty, the 46-year-old actor made it his mission to woo Vergara once she was single, eventually succeeding.

The Magic Mike star proposed to Vergara on Christmas Eve 2017, after just six months of dating.

"When you know, you know, and we knew right away—like, very quickly," Manganiello told Haute Living in 2015.

In July, Vergara celebrated her 51st birthday in Italy without her husband, with the former couple announcing their separation a few weeks later.

"We have made the difficult decision to divorce," they said in a joint statement. "As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives."

In the divorce filing, Manganiello cited "irreconcilable differences," with a source telling People: "They have been growing apart for some time now and tried to resolve things, but they are focused on different areas of their lives."

An anonymous source told TMZ that the split was due to Manganiello wanting to have children while Vergara—who has son Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, 31, from her past relationship with Joe Gonzalez—did not. However, these rumors are unconfirmed.

Hollywood has seen its fair share of odd couples, with Kendall Jenner and rapper Bad Bunny raising eyebrows when they started dating in February.

Bunny—real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio—and the 28-year-old runway star supposedly met through mutual friends after the "Yo Perreo Sola" hitmaker moved to Los Angeles earlier this year. They were spotted on a double date with Justin Bieber and his wife Haley shortly afterward, before being caught kissing in March.

There were non-stop PDAs and coordinated outfits throughout 2023, with the pair rumored to be getting "more serious" over the summer. In August, the 29-year-old music star wore a necklace with a letter "K" charm, which fans took as a nod to his model girlfriend.

The couple starred in a Gucci campaign together in October, but less than two months later, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Jenner and Bunny had split.

Apparently, the romance between the Grammy winner and reality star had been "fizzling out" for a while, with no hard feelings between the pair.

Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval

Perhaps the biggest news in a year full of reality TV drama, Tom Sandoval allegedly cheated on long-term partner and Vanderpump Rules co-star Ariana Madix.

Rumors that the 40-year-old had carried on a months-long affair with Raquel Leviss—who also stars in the Bravo reality show—began swirling in March.

Vanderpump Rules fans threatened to boycott Sandoval's Los Angeles bar Schwartz & Sandy's, with co-stars declaring themselves Team Madix on social media.

Sandoval and Madix started dating in 2014, confirming the romance during the Season 2 reunion.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live in 2021, Madix told Andy Cohen that she had no intention of marrying Sandoval, stating she's "not really into the whole fanfare."

"It's really more about the two people," she told host Cohen. "So if it was just about us, you know, I honestly think I would be more open to it.

"I just don't want it to be like a big thing about having a giant wedding and a bachelorette party and all that b*******."

In March, TMZ reported that Madix had broken things off with her longtime beau after discovering he'd been cheating with Leviss. According to People, the 38-year-old discovered the affair when a "selfie video sexual in nature from Leviss popped up on his phone."

Madix was supposedly "blindsided" by the clandestine relationship, and was photographed packing his things into a car outside their residence in Valley Village, California.

Leviss apologized to Madix in a statement, as well as to Vanderpump Rules fans for disappointing them.

"I want to apologize for my actions and my choices foremost to Ariana, and to my friends and the fans so invested in our relationships," the 29-year-old said.

"There is no excuse, I am not a victim and I must own my actions and I deeply regret hurting Ariana."

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn

Since Taylor Swift first appeared at the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Chicago Bears game in September, the singer and football star Travis Kelce have been attached at the hip.

However, the 34-year-old's romance with ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn was far more low-key. Swift reportedly met the English actor at the 2016 Met Gala, with the pair spotted together only a handful of times during their six-year relationship.

Swift even wrote her 2022 song "Lavender Haze"—from the album Midnights—about keeping the relationship under wraps.

"We live in the era of social media," the Emmy winner said in an Instagram post. "If the world finds out that you're in love with somebody, they're going to weigh in on it."

The couple announced their breakup in March. A source told Entertainment Tonight that the split was "not dramatic," with the romance just having "run its course."

According to the source, Swift and the Mary Queen of Scots actor had been "through rough patches" before, but had finally realized they "weren't the right fit for one another."

In April, the pop star released a Midnights bonus track called "You're Losing Me," with Swifties believing the tune to be about her split with Alwyn.

Jim Toth and Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth became an item in March 2010, shortly after the producer saved the Legally Blonde star from a drunk man harassing her at a party.

A few months later, the actress introduced Toth to her children—Ava, 24, and Deacon, 20, whom she shares with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe—with the couple getting married in March 2011.

That same year, Witherspoon called the 53-year-old "the one" in an interview with Elle magazine, with their son, Tennessee James Toth, born in 2012.

The pair kept their relationship private, but were regularly seen together at showbiz gatherings and awards shows. In 2016, Witherspoon credited Toth with inspiring her to do more work behind the camera.

The couple co-owned production company Hello Sunshine—which sold for $900 million in 2021—with Witherspoon calling the marriage a "true partnership" during an interview with Harper's Bazaar.

However, they announced their separation on social media in March, two days before their 12th wedding anniversary.

"It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce," they said in a joint statement shared to Witherspoon's Instagram.

"We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together."

An insider told Us Weekly that Witherspoon and Toth had been drifting apart for some time, dividing their assets long before the divorce was made public.

"Reese has spent the last year preparing for the next chapter," the source said. "They decided their marriage wasn't going to last forever and that they should have a plan for splitting up their assets that wouldn't destroy what they built together."

Another Hollywood couple that appeared to be rock-solid, Meryl Streep and Don Gummer were introduced by the actress' brother in 1978, and remained together for four decades.

The Academy Award winner, 74, dated the sculptor for only six months before walking down the aisle. Although Streep kept her marriage out of the public eye, the artist, 77, attended a multitude of Hollywood events over the years with his movie star wife.

Their first child, Henry Wolfe Gummer, was born in 1979, followed by Mamie, 40, Grace, 37, and Louisa, 32.

In October, it was confirmed that Streep and Gummer had lived apart for six years, with a spokesperson telling People: "While they will always care for each other, they have chosen lives apart."
