Hulu and the BBC's adaptation of Rooney's debut novel, Conversations With Friends finally has a release date and is coming to screens a lot sooner than you might think, leaving fans with little time to prepare for a whole load of romance and heartbreak once again.

Conversations With Friends follows the tumultuous love life of Trinity College student Frances and her friend, Bobbi as they get themselves entangled in secrets and affairs and features a star-studded cast.

When Is 'Conversations With Friends' Out?

The wait for Conversations With Friends is almost over. The highly anticipated 12-part series is set to premiere on Sunday, May 15 on Hulu in the U.S. and BBC in the U.K.

To watch Conversations With Friends on Hulu, you can subscribe to Hulu now for $6.99 per month.

All 12 episodes will drop at once on the platform for fans to binge-watch at their leisure.

If you are based in the U.K, Conversations With Friends will air on BBC Three and will be available to stream on the BBC iPlayer. You must have a TV Licence to watch all things BBC.

Conversations With Friends will air at a later date on RTE in Northern Ireland.

Who Stars in 'Conversations With Friends'?

Up-and-coming actress Alison Oliver stars in the lead role of Frances in Conversations With Friends.

Sasha Lane, best known for American Honey and Loki plays the role of Frances' best friend and ex-girlfriend Bobbi.

The Favourite's Joe Alwyn stars as Nick Conway, Frances's love interest.

Jemima Kirke, who recently starred in Sex Education as Headmistress Hope, plays Nick's wife, Melissa.

What Is 'Conversations With Friends' About?

Just like the original novel, Conversations With Friends follows the story of 21-year-old college student Frances (played by Alison Oliver), as she navigates romantic relationships and friendships.

After a night of poetry performances, Frances and her best friend Bobbi (Sasha Lane) are introduced to writer Melissa (Jemima Kirke) and they strike up a friendship.

Eventually, Frances and Bobbi are introduced to Melissa's husband Nick (Joe Alwyn), an extremely handsome actor and there is an instant connection between Nick and Frances, strong enough to disrupt the status quo.

While Melissa and Bobbi flirt openly in front of everyone, Frances and Nick begin a serious affair with the implications not only affecting Nick's marriage but Frances' friendship with Bobbi and her view of herself.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, director Lenny Abrahamson shared: "Conversations is really a coming-of-age story, centering on Frances, who is trying to figure herself out...it's prepared to challenge the viewer's own sense of what is good or right in various situations."

Is There a Trailer for 'Conversations With Friends'?

Yes, there is a trailer for Conversations With Friends, taking audiences inside the world of Frances, Bobbi, Melissa and Nick.

The beginning of the trailer does not hold back the fact there is an affair on the cards as the tension builds between Frances and Nick.

Frances is also heard asking Bobbi, "Would it depress you to sleep with someone who loved someone else?" to which Bobbi responds: "Not if they love me, too."

Later in the trailer, Frances is heard asking, "Who knows what happens between two people when they're alone?" followed by Nick stating: "My marriage has survived several affairs already. I've just never been party to them."

Frances is not the only one with feelings for someone who is married. Frances is heard asking Bobbi if she has a crush on Melissa and Bobbi responds: "Obviously I have a crush on her." She later revealing they had kissed.

As the trailer progresses, audiences are treated to scenes of Frances and Nick kissing and in bed together but, sadly, also scenes of their relationships starting to crumble.

The trailer also features a new song from Phoebe Bridgers called "Sidelines."

Conversations With Friends premieres Sunday, May 15 on Hulu, BBC Three, and the BBC iPlayer.
