In Arizona earlier this month, an altercation involving staff and a customer proved to be more deadly.
A Wendy's employee killed a customer after punching him after he complained about his order, according to the police.
The attack happened on July 26 at approximately 4:41 p.m. at the restaurant in the 3000 block of Glassford Hill Road, in Prescott Valley, according to a police press report.
The employee, Antoine Kendrick, of Prescott Valley, came out from behind the service counter and struck the 67-year-old Dewey resident in the head, police said.
The victim fell to the floor, striking his head again and falling unconscious. Officers and Central Arizona Fire & Medical Authority responded to tend to the customer and he was subsequently airlifted to a Valley hospital.
He remained in a critical condition until his death on August 5. Kendrick was initially booked on the charge of aggravated assault which was later upgraded to second-degree murder after the victim's death.
