A video has gone viral on social media amid the Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard court case as a concert crowd cheers and boos for each celebrity.
Posted to TikTok, user @lavieenrosieee captured a moment that featured the crowds' opinion on the court case between Depp and Heard, many in Depp's favor. The video has over 1 million likes and has been seen 8 million times.
In the clip, a concertgoer raises their phone, showing Depp's picture on it. The crowd cheered in defense of the former member of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. When the concertgoer swipes to a picture of Heard, the crowd booed.
The viral moment occurred at a Wallows concert as @lavieenrosieee posted the video with the caption, "why did someone pull this out at the wallows show (this is obvi a v serious matter but bro)."
In the court case watched by millions via live streams, Depp is suing his ex-wife Heard for $50 million for defamation after an op-ed she wrote that was published in The Washington Post in 2018. The couple was married from 2013 to 2016. Although Depp isn't specifically mentioned in the op-ed, he claims that he lost many movie roles because of it. The trial is being held in Fairfax County, Virginia.
This isn't the first time a video has gone viral that has the public claiming if they are on "Team Amber" or "Team Johnny." Most of the money shown in the video went into Depp's jar. The video sparked controversy as some slammed the poster and the store for "profiting off abuse then making a video about it."
