A video on TikTok, that has been viewed over five million times, has delighted users, leading one to comment, "Stop I can't handle this much cuteness!"

In the video, posted by Lifeofagoldenboy, an adult golden retriever can be seen taking a nap with a puppy golden retriever, with the caption: "Just walked in on our boys' first cuddle."

According to the American Kennel Club, 69 million U.S households owned a dog in 2020. They found that 56% of people then got another canine companion because they wanted another one to be a friend for their current pooch. Other reasons for having more than one dog included the opportunity to rescue a dog from a shelter, the health benefits multiple dogs provide for their owners, and a desire to keep bonded dogs together. One user commented, "This makes me want two more dogs to add to my brood."

Another comment that said "The little one with the smile...my heart", received over 8,000 likes, while others struggled to handle the cuteness levels, adding: "my heart would stop from happiness. I just can't."

In other videos posted on their page, the golden retriever buddies can be seen riding in a boat together and playfighting.

The Spruce Pets website lists the golden retriever as one of the friendliest breeds of dog, adding: "Golden retrievers often exude friendliness as they engage with people and other animals. Part of this comes down to confidence. Goldens tend to have a cheery outlook that helps them navigate the world with ease. Moreover, a golden is almost always willing to sit or stay as long as a person wants."

Animal videos, especially dog videos are consistently popular on social media, and as one user wrote: "I find the cutest dog post & I'll say "this is the cutest I've ever seen in TikTok" then there's always another to top it and this is it!"
