Beloved comedian and actor Danny DeVito is being praised online after publicly tweeting at President Joe Biden to push legislation through Congress.

The It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star tweeted directly at the President on Tuesday afternoon where it quickly racked up nearly 70,000 likes and 5,900 retweets.

Danny DeVito's Viral Tweet to President Biden

In the viral tweet, DeVito referred to the president by his first name only and casually called him "buddy."

"Joseph, while you're fixing things with the railroad...get them to pass The Equality Act affording civil rights to the LGBTQ community," the tweet read. "And extend the child tax credit. How bout the 35$ cap on insulin ... all's I'm saying, a few things already passed in the house. C'mon buddy."

In another tweet a few hours later, DeVito followed up with more ideas for the President, yet again referring to him colloquially by his first name.

"No Joe, you're supposed to help the railroad workers..." DeVito tweeted. "You got it backwards. A handful of sick days c'mon! Workers of the world unite!"

The tweet received over 107,000 likes and 16,300 retweets as well as thousands of replies.

"Danny DeVito is a comrade confirmed," user @Aidabagel tweeted.

"Danny DeVito being an outspoken progressive never fails to make me smile," user @BlakeTheLich tweeted. "I adore this goblin human."

"Danny DeVito bullying the President into pushing the Senate for a more progressive agenda is possibly my favorite thing on Twitter today," user @jbradleyrushing tweeted.

The tweets followed President Biden's call for congressional intervention to avoid a "potentially crippling" railroad strike.

A tentative agreement was made in September that would raise wages by 24 percent over a five-year period and give workers a $5,000 bonus.

But President Biden said in a statement Monday that he was "reluctant to override the ratification procedures" and called for Congress to adopt the deal.

However, many union members expressed discontent with the deal stating that it does not ensure adequate vacation and sick days for workers.

Danny DeVito: 'Undisputed King', 'National Treasure'

Thousands of other users referred to DeVito as "the man," "a hero," and even "an absolute king."

"Danny DeVito is a national treasure," user @slow_learner0 tweeted.

"Without twitter there's no Danny DeVito quoting Marx and that's not a world I want to live in," user @UrsulaLawrence tweeted.

"I knew you first as The Penguin, a villain, and I have lived long enough to see you become a hero," user @alaskanime tweeted.

"Still the undisputed king," user @Anebriate tweeted.

DeVito recently celebrated his 78th birthday on November 17, with fans flooding Twitter with celebratory messages and tributes.

Doting fans published their birthday tributes for the actor, with many including photos of some of his most popular roles in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Simpsons and Batman Returns.

"Happy Birthday to the greatest Trash Man of all time," a fan wrote, referring to the wrestling alter-ego that DeVito's character created in It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
