The Real Slim Shady isn't staying silent on the 2020 election. Rapper Eminem, born Marshall Mathers, just chose former Vice President Joe Biden as his pick for President by sharing a campaign video on Twitter.

The video is titled "One Opportunity," an argument to vote for Biden and his Vice President pick Kamala Harris. It uses Eminem's song "Lose Yourself," which features the same line: "One Opportunity."

Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers, shared the video with the same caption.

Eminem is just one of the hundreds of celebrities speaking out on politics this year, though he joined the game a bit late. Election day is Tuesday, so the rapper shared his political views less than 24 hours before the polls open, though vote by mail has been a popular option in America this year due to the ongoing pandemic.

Comments on Eminem's tweet vary from supporters of President Donald Trump who don't understand the rapper's point of view to other Biden supporters. Others joked Eminem should be the President.

If you examine Eminem's former political statements, his endorsement of Biden shouldn't be that surprising. The rapper slammed Trump in a 2017 interview with Vulture. He did admitted that he once thought Trump could be good for the country.

"He makes my blood boil," Eminem said. "I can't even watch the news anymore because it makes me too stressed out. All jokes aside, all punchlines aside, I'm trying to get a message out there about him. I want our country to be great too, I want it to be the best it can be, but it's not going to be that with him in charge."

He continued: "I remember when he was first sniffing around politics, I thought, We've tried everything else, why not him? Then — and I was watching it live — he had that speech where he said Mexico is sending us rapists and criminals. I got this feeling of what the f***? From that point on, I knew it was going to be bad with him. What he's doing putting people against each other is scary f****** s***. His election was such a disappointment to me about the state of the country."

Eminem was had his own run ins with the administration. He was confronted by the Secret Service after lyrics that talk about potentially murdering both Trump and his daughter, Ivanka. The explicit lyrics are featured in the song "Framed," which was released in 2018.
