Disney released Disney Dreamlight Valley shortly after its first Disney and Marvel Games showcase in early September. Since its release, the cute Animal Crossing-like game has dazzled Disney fans with its cute characters, collectibles, and daily adventures.

Dreamlight Valley is chock full of goodies to collect, including cute forest critters like squirrels, foxes, and even birds. When unlocked, you can have some critters follow you around, acting as pets or companions.

One of the cutest critters you can befriend and add to your wardrobe as a companion is a fox. These cute critters can be discovered in Frosted Heights, where you first meet Elsa from Frozen.

There are three types of foxes you can find in the world. However, they're just different colors; they don't act any differently mechanically. They also all have the same favorite food, which you can feed them if you want to add them to your companion roster.

A fox's favorite food in Disney Dreamlight Valley is White Sturgeon, a fish that can be found in Frosted Heights.

To catch White Sturgeon, you will need to make your way to the Frosted Heights and then look for a gold-colored fishing spot within the water. These fishing spots are rare, so you might not see one every time you go fishing.

Once you have caught a White Sturgeon, it's time to find a fox you want to feed. Like rabbits or squirrels, foxes in Disney Dreamlight Valley can be approached at any time. All you need to do is walk up to them, and then they will run away from you. Don't take this as a bad sign, though. Instead, chase after them and continue to do so until they stop and the option to approach them appears above their heads.

When you see that option, select it and then choose the White Sturgeon from your inventory. The fox will eat it and be happy.

Unfortunately, it won't immediately be added to your companion list. Instead, you will need to feed the same fox for at least two days in a row. Keep track of what color you fed, and then return with another White Sturgeon the next day. Because you need to feed it twice, it is highly recommended that players catch multiple White Sturgeon before attempting to befriend a fox.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is currently in early access on PC. It can also be played on Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch consoles.
