You have got to give credit where credit's due and this dog certainly deserves it after putting on a show to gain sympathy.
In a viral TikTok video shared by owner Kenzie (@kenziedoddharris), her grey dog can be seen pretending to limp.
The on-screen text explains why, saying: "When you have a three-legged dog but your dog with four legs wants some extra attention."
The clip captioned: "She didn't last long as a tripod," had 2.1 million views and over 292,000 likes, at the time of writing.

The footage shows the dog walking alongside another canine with her left hind leg raised, then using her puppy dog eyes while looking over her shoulder at Kenzie. To watch the video, click here.
The hilarious clip has left the internet in stitches and received almost 500 comments.
One person asked: "Why are dogs so dramatic[?]"
"I love that she looks back to make sure you're seeing this," said another comment with 10,900 likes.
"She's an empath," said another with 22,400 likes.
A third comment said: "The first time my golden did that it cost us a lot lmao."

Fortunately Kenzie didn't fall for her dog's trick and take her to the vet. This, of course isn't cheap, according to figures released by the American Pet Products Association, pet owners in the U.S. spent $37 billion on vet care and products throughout 2023, with routine vet bills costing the average dog owner $242 in the year.
Owning a pet can be expensive, but it must be worth it otherwise 66 percent of U.S. households wouldn't have one. That equates to 86.9 million households, according to the APPA statistics. Dog ownership is the most popular, followed by cats and freshwater fish. The findings also revealed pets are owned by mostly millennials and generation X.
These days, more and more people are adopting canines rather than buying them from a breeder. Newsweek has shared a number of articles about shelter dogs desperately waiting for a place to call home, along with success stories for those who have been adopted.
This also isn't the first time Newsweek has showcased a dog's acting skills, as the clever creatures are also known for providing plenty of laughs online. Recently, a dog was caught on camera pretending to die of dehydration after guzzling down all of her water. Another dog was also filmed pretending to be asleep, but forgot to do something very important to make the act more believable.
Newsweek reached out to @kenziedoddharris for comment via TikTok. We couldn't verify the details of the case.
