All dogs have their quirks—often it's what makes us love them—and a video of one owner showing the world what makes her pup special has gone viral on TikTok, garnering over 3.7 million views.
The clip from Julia Rose Lomicky, who posts as @jlom9, shows a one-year-old Great Dane, called Jade, demanding to be pampered with a facial ice roller.
"I think I started a really bad habit with my dog," Lomicky says in the video, while Jade waits beside the refrigerator.
"I often find Jade crying at the fridge and find out she wants my ice roller," Lomicky told Newsweek. "So, I do exactly what she wants and roll it all over her face."

"Jade is so nosy to begin with so whenever I would roll it on my face she'd be right next to me watching," she added. "One day I tried it on her and she instantly looked relaxed!"
In the video, Jade gets visibly excited when she sees the roller, jumping up before her owner uses it to massage her head. "Look at her face, she's so calm right now," Lomicky says.
"She has so many other quirks," Lomicky told Newsweek. " Whenever someone leaves for more time than Jade would like, she will take the pillowcase off your pillow and walk around with it until you get home. She does the same with small blankets on our beds. She's also the nosiest dog I've ever met. Doesn't matter if you're walking five steps to the other side of the kitchen, she'll be right there next to you."
"Life with a Great Dane is amazing," she added. "She's our first Great Dane and we absolutely love her. She's your not-so-little buddy following you around, sleeping next to you and keeping you company. We traveled all the way from NJ to Tampa to get her so she knows she's a special girl."
Ice rollers have become a popular beauty accessory in recent years, marketed as "depuffing" tools to promote lymphatic drainage and reduce inflammation. While Jade is probably not benefiting from those effects, she seems to like the way it feels.
Should I Massage My Dog?
What we might consider a luxurious spa treatment can be hugely beneficial to your dog's mental and physical wellbeing.
"Massage may reduce stress and anxiety, increase circulation, decrease pain and strengthen the bond between you and your dog," states the American Kennel Club (AKC). "Also, it can help to identify new growths at an early stage. The best part? You don't even have to leave the couch," it adds.
"Pick a quiet part of the house for the massage to help your dog feel calm," it says. "Do not try to massage if your pet is overly fearful. First, softly stroke the area of interest. Use flat palms to press against the skin lightly. Move your hands slowly using long, sweeping motions. While massaging, take note of any swelling, increased sensitivity, and pain. Stop if it seems to hurt your dog."
It recommends starting from the head and neck, and working down the body. "Do not press straight down on bones or joints. Avoid areas where your dog doesn't like to be touched.
"A gentle massage at the base of the skull and the base of the tail can stimulate relaxation," the AKC says. "Remember to make the experience enjoyable for him—stop if your dog recoils, cries out, or seems to be in pain."
TikTok users loved Lomicky's sweet video.
"Jade gets life. She just gets it," commented one.
"Awe. That's the cutest thing," wrote another user.
"Your dog has a better skin care routine than I do," said a third.
