Donald Trump at CPAC: Five Moments You Might Have Missed

Former President Donald Trump covered a vast number of topics at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) event in Florida, ranging from the invasion of Ukraine to hinting again at a 2024 presidential run.

The firebrand Republican is adored by a large segment of Republican voters and was met with cheers and applause when he appeared on the CPAC stage in Orlando on Saturday.

As such, CPAC allowed the former President to continue to further assert his influence within the Republican Party.

Trump Hints At 2024 Presidential Bid

During his speech inside the packed hall, Trump gave a strong hint that he would once again run for president in 2024.

Addressing the crowd, Trump said: "They're [Democrats] going to find out the hard way, starting on November 8 and then even more so on November 2024. They will find out like never before.

"We did it twice, and we'll do it again. We're going to be doing it again, a third time."

Following Trump's 2024 announcement, the CPAC crowd erupted into loud cheers and applause.

Trump Responds To Question About Taking Up Arms To Defend The U.S. From Invasion

Trump praised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's bravery over his actions following Putin's order to invade the country earlier this week.

However, when asked if he would take up arms to defend the U.S. in a similar situation, Trump did not give a clear answer.

He said: "You never know about bravery. Some people think they are brave are not brave and other people think of themselves as very brave and step up. You never know until you get tested.

"And he's [Zelenskyy] is being tested at the highest level and so far he's really shown great leadership and great bravery."

Trump Lashes Out At Biden's Anticipated SCOTUS Pick

The former president hit out at Biden's nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court after he promised to put a Black woman on the court.

Should Jackson be confirmed, then she would become the first Black woman to sit on the Supreme Court.

But Trump lashed out at Jackson's nomination and branded former public defender as a "zealot."

Trump told the crowd: "The radical left zealot has been nominated to the Supreme Court of the United States."

Trump Praises Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz

Trump also heaped praise on controversial Republican lawmakers Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) during his CPAC speech.

Both Representatives Gaetz and Green are Trump loyalists and have earned a number of detractors even from within the Republican Party.

Trump said of Rep. Gaetz: "A man who's terrific, loves our country and is loved in the state of Florida, Matt Gaetz."

He also made a tongue-in-cheek remark about Rep. Greene: "A person who is very shy, doesn't like speaking her mind, but she does it anyway Marjorie Taylor Greene."

Trump Comments On Rising Sea Levels

Former President Trump lashed out at the Biden Administration's policy to tackle climate change.

In his speech, Trump also attacked former Secretary of State John Kerry for expressing hope Putin would concentrate on climate change, and joked that Americans would have more "seafront property" should ocean levels rise.

He added: "We have a world that is about to blow up and disintegrate over energy and he's talking about global warming. The oceans may rise over the next 300 years, one one-hundredth of an inch.

"Giving you slightly more seafront property. And this is his problem, he's not thinking about the nuclear warming, he's thinking about other types of warming. These people are not living in a world of reality."
