Donald Trump is going to jail, at least, according to Jimmy Kimmel.

While discussing the ex-president's ongoing legal battles—which include 91 counts in four different jurisdictions—on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday, the 55-year-old host explained why believes the ex-president is looking at jail time.

"Oh man is he in trouble," Kimmel told the audience. "I'm telling you right now, Donald Trump is going to jail. I don't want to hear anything else, I'm telling you."

Newsweek has reached out to Jimmy Kimmel and Donald Trump for comment via email.

In his monologue, Kimmel began by highlighting the immunity granted to Mark Meadows, the business mogul's former chief of staff, who it is believed will testify against Trump in the January 6 case in Georgia.

"He repeatedly told Trump that the allegations of voting fraud were baseless," the comedian said, before discussing Trump's former lawyer Jenna Ellis. On Tuesday, the 38-year-old pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting false statements in the Georgia election tampering case, and is expected to also testify against Trump.

"Trump's former fixer Michael Cohen testified against him in the fraud trial in New York today," Kimmel added, cutting to a clip of the 57-year-old attorney arriving at Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday.

"Right now, half of Trump's lawyers are trying to keep him out of prison, the other half are trying to keep themselves out of prison," he said.

In April, Trump became the first former president in history to be indicted for a crime. The 77-year-old is currently fighting four different legal battles in Georgia, New York, Florida and the District of Columbia.

Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg charged Trump with 34 counts of reportedly falsifying business records, supposedly to hide secret payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels, who the real estate magnate allegedly had an affair with.

Michael Cohen—once a lawyer for the Trump Organization and said to be the business mogul's former fixer—is a star witness in the case, and purportedly paid Daniels $130,000 to stay silent about her alleged relationship with Trump.

In June, Trump was charged with defying a subpoena instructing him to return classified national security documents held in his Mar-a-Lago, Florida, home. In August, the District of Columbia charged Trump with four counts, stating that his voter fraud claims and reported pressure of public officials to alter the general election results were tantamount to a criminal conspiracy.

Later that month, the district attorney for Fulton Country in Georgia charged Trump and 18 co-conspirators—including Ellis—with attempting to change the state's 2020 election results.

Despite his ongoing legal struggles, Trump is still running for the Republican presidential nomination—and is currently the frontrunner. According to polling analysis website FiveThirtyEight, Trump is polling at 57 percent, followed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis at 15 percent and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley at 5 percent.
