Former President Donald Trump has debuted a new plane after announcing that Senator JD Vance will serve as his running mate for his 2024 campaign.
Trump adviser Jason Miller shared a photo of the new aircraft on Monday evening, showing a plane with a "Trump Vance" decal on the side. Earlier in the day, Trump announced that he had selected Vance as his vice presidential candidate at the first day of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. Trump was also formally nominated as the GOP nominee Monday.
The plane is different from Trump's "Trump Force One" plane that he uses personally. Jack Sweeney, who is well-known for tracking the private jets of celebrities and politicians, reported that the plane appeared to be a Boeing 737 for Vance's use
"The Trump Vance plane looks to be N917XA which is at MCI airport. Clues: rust on the top of outside hangars is the same, as pictured. 917 matches door number. Eastern airlines logo pictured on the lift, N917XA is a Eastern airlines aircraft," Sweeney wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Trump adviser Dan Scavino also shared images of the new decal being put onto the plane.

Vance, a 39-year-old senator from Ohio, first rose to national fame with his 2016 memoir Hillbilly Elegy. He was elected to the Senate in 2022 as a political newcomer who quickly built a reputation as a Trump loyalist despite once speaking out against the former president.
Newsweek reached out to Miller for comment via phone but did not receive a response in time for publication.
The announcement also came just days after the attempted assassination of Trump at a Pennsylvania rally on Saturday.
A gunman grazed the Republican nominee's ear after firing a bullet that hit Trump while he was on stage. A bystander at the rally was killed in the shooting and two others were critically injured. Trump was rushed off the stage by Secret Service, who have come under scrutiny in the aftermath of the incident.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Monday that Trump's Secret Service detail had been adjusted since the shooting and that his protection had been enhanced for this week's convention. Mayorkas also confirmed that whoever Trump would select as his running mate would also receive "the appropriate level of security" after being picked.
Trump made the VP announcement in a Truth Social post, writing that, "After lengthy deliberation and thought, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited to assume the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator J.D. Vance of the Great State of Ohio."
Although Vance has become one of Trump's staunchest allies, he was once a fierce critic of the former president. When Trump first ran for the White House in 2016, Vance said, "I'm a never-Trump guy, I never liked him."
Vance responded to the Trump shooting over the weekend by accusing President Joe Biden's rhetoric about Trump of leading "directly to President Trump's attempted assassination."
"The central premise of the Biden campaign is that President Donald Trump is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs," Vance wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
