Donald Trump Jr. is seeking to convince members of the Amish community throughout the U.S. to vote Republican in the 2024 presidential election.
"In 2024, we need an all-of-the-above voter strategy," Trump Jr., the son of former President Donald Trump, wrote on X, formerly Twitter. "That means voter registration at gun shows, concerts, UFC fights - and even in Amish country."
The post by Trump Jr. included a video of an interview he appeared on with Early Vote Action founder Scott Presler, where the two spoke about different communities throughout the U.S. that they would like to see vote Republican. Presler said that 40 percent of hunters in Wisconsin are not currently registered to vote.
"In a state like Wisconsin that was decided by 20,000 votes in 2020, could Wisconsin hunters, could gun owners actually win statewide elections and therefore win the presidency? I believe so," Presler said in the video.

Trump Jr. responded in the interview by saying that hunters in Wisconsin are "grossly underrepresented," and added that "they're probably gonna go our way" as to how they vote.
The former president is currently the leading GOP candidate for the 2024 nomination after besting former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley in several early-state caucuses and primary elections, such as Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina.
According to World Population Review, the largest Amish population in the U.S. is in Pennsylvania, with roughly 87,000. Other states with large Amish populations include Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, New York, Michigan, Missouri, Kentucky and Iowa.
In the 2020 election, Trump lost to President Joe Biden in Pennsylvania by less than 2 percent. Biden received 50 percent of votes compared to Trump's 48.8 percent. Similarly, Trump also lost to Biden in Wisconsin by less than 1 percent (49.6 percent to 48.9 percent).
In another post on X from Presler, he showed his work helping members of the Amish community register to vote in the 2024 election and wrote: "We are actively registering the Amish to vote."
Trump Jr. reposted the photo on X and said: "Tonight 6 pm ET on Triggered with Scott Presler @ScottPresler. He's working harder than ever to register new voters and even says the Amish could be a major factor in states like Pennsylvania."
In 2020, the New York Post reported that a video was posted on social media showing an Amish caravan that showcased Trump's name and American flags.
"You know it's going to be a landslide when the Amish start to rally and create their own Trump Train," one X account wrote sharing the video on X in 2020, the Post reported.
Newsweek reached out to Trump's spokesperson via email for comment.
