"2024 WILL GO DOWN AS THE YEAR OF GREAT AND FULLY COORDINATED ILLEGAL ELECTION INTERFERENCE BY CROOKED JOE BIDEN, THE WORST AND MOST CORRUPT PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES, THE DOJ, FBI, A.G.'s, & D.A.'s THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY, BUT DESPITE IT ALL, IN THE END, THERE WILL BE A BIG AND GLORIOUS VICTORY FOR THOSE BRAVE AND VALIANT PATRIOTS WHO WANT TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!" Trump wrote in one post.

In another post, Trump said, "It's hard to have a truly great Christmas when you have a Crooked and Incompetent President who wants to put his Political Opponent in jail, and who has been working hard (for a change!), illegally using all of the levers of Law Enforcement, to do so. We are in the fight of our lives to save our Country from MADNESS & DOOM. MAGA 2024!!!"

The posts by Trump sparked many to mock the former president such as X user @TeaPainUSA who wrote, "The Grinch to Donald Trump: 'Dude, cheer up!'"

X user @Out5p0ken said, "Trump is not having a Merry Christmas."

X user @cindyraeC shared a meme of Trump as the Grinch from the popular Christmas movie.

X user Mrs. Betty Bowers wrote, "Donald can't stop thinking about himself long enough to even mention the Baby Jesus on his birthday. Sad."

The Republicans Against Trump X account also shared the former president's message on TruthSocial and said, "When you realize this might be your last Christmas as a free man...Merry Christmas."

Newsweek reached out to Trump's spokesperson via email for comment.

Trump is currently facing several legal battles following two federal indictments and a third indictment in New York City.

Trump was indicted by Special Counsel Jack Smith for alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election as well as another indictment for his alleged mishandling of classified documents following his presidency.

In New York City, Trump was accused of inflating his own net worth and the value of some of his properties by Attorney General Letitia James.
