You can probably tell just by looking at it, but Drake's new anti-engagement ring necklace is worth millions upon millions of dollars, according to a professional.

The singer's new statement piece is a collaboration between himself and Alex Moss New York. The large necklace sports 351.38 carats of diamond across 42 engagement rings, seemingly symbolizing every time he thought about proposing but never did.

The major piece of bling, titled "Previous Engagements," took over a year to make, and the jeweler's account has detailed the painstaking work that went into its creation.

Drake's new necklace has caused a stir online as people commented on the expensive item.

Newsweek enlisted the help of an expert to determine the precise value based on its appearance and description.

After inspecting the necklace, Claire Beatson, the general manager at Nightingale, a British jeweler, shared her assessment.

"This captivating piece includes 42 diamonds set on a platinum necklace and features a dazzling mixture of gemstone cuts including round brilliant cut, emerald-cut, princess cut, and pear-cut diamonds," she told Newsweek before offering her estimate.

"The estimated cost, if using mined diamonds, is £20.5 million," which, in the current market, would be around $25.3 million.

"The estimated cost, if the necklace contains lab-grown diamonds, would be £3.5 million," and that converts to $4.3 million in the current market.

So, either way, Drake's new accessory would set the common man back over $4 million dollars, or perhaps $25 million if it contains diamonds that have been mined.

The accompanying video shared across the Alex Moss New York social-media accounts details the work that went into the necklace they call "Previous Engagements."

"Ordering the impossible, an expedition spanning 14 months," the narrator describes in the presentation video for the necklace. "Every diamond hand selected, inspected to only suit perfection. This monumental art piece was assembled using 351.38 carats of diamonds mounted in 18k white gold.

"Each stone meticulously set utilizing the Eagle Claw technique. Previous Engagements for all the time some thought about it but never did. A true wonder of the jewelry world presented by Alex Moss New York and Drake," the narrator says.

Alex Moss the individual has become known for providing jewelry to the likes of Tyler, The Creator and Playboi Carti.

Drake, 36, wore the new statement necklace at the Lil Baby & Friends Birthday Celebration Concert at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 9, 2022. He was photographed wearing the Previous Engagement jewelry both backstage and while performing for crowds at the venue.
