The super-addictive podcast, The Dropout is being brought to life on Hulu in early 2022. Amanda Seyfried will star as former U.S. businesswoman Elizabeth Holmes, the former CEO of now-defunct corporation Theranos.

When Is The Dropout Out on Hulu?
There is bittersweet news for fans who are eagerly awaiting the arrival of The Dropout.
Thankfully, the miniseries does have a release date but unfortunately, there will be a little bit of a wait.
The first three episodes of The Dropout will be available to stream on Thursday, March 3, 2022, with the remaining 8 episodes airing weekly every Thursday afterward.

What Is The Dropout On Hulu About?
Based on the ABC News podcast of the same name, The Dropout on Hulu will tell the unbelievable true story of Elizabeth Holmes.
In 2003 Holmes set up her own health technology company, Theranos, which was valued at $9 billion in 2015 and in that same year, Forbes named her as the youngest and wealthiest self-made female billionaire in America.
However, her company was eventually alleged to be a scam. None of the technology is reported to have actually worked and their claims of having revolutionized blood testing with new technology — using just a small amount of blood with rapid results — were discovered to be false.
Doubt amongst journalists and regulatory investigations began to surface in late 2015 and in October 2015, John Carreyrou of The Wall Street Journal published an article where he exposed the faults in their Edison blood-testing device. He also revealed Theranos had been using machines made by other manufactures for the majority of its testing.
On June 15, 2018, Holmes and former Theranos president Sunny Balwani, were charged with nine counts of wire fraud and two counts of conspiracy to commit wire fraud by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California.
The trial began on August 31, 2021. If convicted, Holmes and Balwani face a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, according to official court documents
