The results of the latest Dancing With the Stars elimination were revealed during the Disney+ ballroom competition's Halloween special.

The October 31 episode marked Week 7 of the show and saw stars such as Ru Paul's Drag Race favorite Shangela, 40, 90210 actor Trevor Donovan, 42, and comedian Wayne Brady, 50, take to the dancefloor once again to fight for their spot in the show.

Ahead of the episode, it was confirmed that The Bachelorette's Gabby Windey's partner Val Chmerkovskiy had tested positive for COVID-19 and would not be taking part, leaving Windey, 31, to pair up with last week's eliminated professional Alan Bersten.

Newsweek has everything you need to know about who scored what on Week 7 of Dancing With the Stars, which couple were sent home, and why the elimination has divided viewers.

Team Wicked— made up of Windey, Shangela, Guadagnino, Heidi D'Amelio, Sparks and their respective partners — performed to "The Witches Are Back" from Hocus Pocus 2, while Team Scream — which consisted of Donovan, Charli D'Amelio, Brady, Durant and their respective partners — danced to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Heads Will Roll."

Dancing With the Stars judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough had 40 more points to give out after each team's performance, and those team scores were then added to each pair's cumulative point total for the evening.

Team Wicked earned 33 out of 40 points, but Team Scream beat them with 39 so, with the team-dance scores factored in, Donovan and Charli D'Amelio tied at the top of the leaderboard.

Who Went Home on Week 7 of Dancing With the Stars?

Once the judges' scores were combined with the public votes, the bottom-two couples were revealed as Heidi D'Amelio and Artem Chigvintsev, and Jordin Sparks and Brandon Armstrong.

The judges vote ended in a tie, but head judge Len Goodman voted again to save D'Amelio and Chigvintsev, sending Sparks and Armstrong home.

The result divided viewers at home as some expressed their disappointment over Sparks' exit.

"Jordin Sparks, who got straight 9's has just been eliminated from #DWTS31 despite Vinny still receiving 7's #DWTS," wrote one viewer on Twitter.

Others were glad that D'Amelio had been saved to perform for another week.

One fan wrote: "I am glad Heidi and Artem [were] safe #DWTS," as another agreed: "so glad heidi is staying another week. i can't wait to see what she has in store #dwts."

Newsweek has contacted representatives for Sparks for comment.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on Disney+. The episodes will be available to stream an hour after its original airing.
