Christmas has come early for Dynasty fans. Season 5 of the soap opera has arrived, just two months after Season 4 came to a dramatic end on The CW.

As if things couldn't be any better, fans will be treated to the first two episodes in the new series, which will air back-to-back on The CW.

When Does Dynasty Season 5 Start?

The wait for Dynasty Season 5 is over. The new season will premiere tonight (Monday, December 20) at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Episode 2 in the new series will follow immediately afterward at 9 p.m.

There are 22 episodes in the new series, with the first two airing tonight on The CW, before the show returns to its usual Friday 9 p.m. ET timeslot on March 11, 2022.

Dynasty Season 5 will pick up from the shocking cliffhanger of Season 4 which saw Fallon Carrington's (played by Elizabeth Gillies) life hanging in the balance after she was shot by Eva.

Alexis Carrington also found herself in trouble in the finale when she was arrested for murder.

Season 5 will also see the arrival of a long-lost Carrington relative, Amanda Carrington (Eliza Bennett), who has a lot of family secrets under her belt.

Who Is In The Cast of Dynasty Season 5?

Elizabeth Gillies is expected to return as Fallon Carrington in Dynasty Season 5.

Ever since the cliffhanger ending of Season 4, Gillies has been absent from any promotional pictures or footage of the new season but there has been no announcement regarding her departure from the show. Hopefully, her radio silence is all part of Fallon's story in Season 5.

Grant Shaw is back as CEO Blake Carrington alongside Sam Underwood as his son Adam Carrington.

Elaine Hendrix returns as Blake's ex-wife, Alexis Carrington, alongside Daniella Alonso as Cristal Jennings Carrington.

The Flores family are also back for Season 5, including Rafael de la Fuente as Sam Flores and Geovanni Gopradi as Roberto Flores.

Adam Huber returns as Liam Ridley, Michael Michele as Dominique Deveraux, Robert Christopher Riley as Michael Culhane, Kara Royster as Eva, and Maddison Brown as Kirby Anders.

Joining the cast of Dynasty is Broadchurch's Eliza Bennett as Amanda Carrington, an estranged family member of the Carrington's who has spent most of her life in Europe.

In the trailer, the Carrington's are preparing to celebrate Christmas, but it is "most definitely not the most wonderful time of the year so far" in Blake's opinion.

Fallon was noticeably absent from the trailer and judging but the looks on Liam (Adam Huber), Culhane (Robert Christopher Riley), Sam (Heather Locklear), and Kirby's (Maddison Brown) faces there is a huge possibility she may not have survived the shooting in the Season 4 finale.

Also in the trailer, Alexis (Elaine Hendrix) can be seen wearing the infamous orange prison jumpsuit, but will she be in jail for much longer?
