'Emily In Paris' Season 2 Cast Will Feature These New Characters

A trio of actors have been added to the cast of hit Netflix romantic comedy Emily in Paris, ahead of its return for a second season.

The show, which divided viewers when it debuted in October, is set to welcome Lucien Laviscount, Jeremy O'Harris and Arnaud Binard as guest stars.

With Lily Collins' titular character Emily Cooper returning for another strut through the streets of the French capital in glamorous, couture-clad style, who are the men who will be crossing paths with the American expat?

Lucien Laviscount will likely be the man to capture the bulk of Emily's attention this go-around, as he's entering as yet another potential love interest in her already-complicated romantic life.

For the uninitiated, Lily found herself falling for—and sharing a kiss with—her building neighbor Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), only to learn he has a serious girlfriend.

Not complex enough? Well, the serious girlfriend Camille (Camille Razat) also just happens to be one of Emily's friends in the city.

Further challenging the audience's ability to keep up with all of the passion-led drama will be the arrival of Lucien's character Alfie.

A 30-year-old from London, devastatingly handsome Alfie is described as sarcastic and charming—an impressive feat of multitasking.

However, no matter how much Emily swoons in his presence, he is expected to spark ire among her growing group of Gallic friends, as he prefers drinking in an English-speaking pub to embracing French culture.

Jeremy O'Harris will take on the role of esteemed fashion designer Gregory Elliott Dupree, a former protégé of Pierre Cadault.

Meanwhile, Arnaud Binard will get the party started as Laurent G, the outgoing owner of a nightclub in Saint Tropez.

Emily and Laurent will cross paths when he agrees to promote one of the brands she represents at her marketing firm—though their working relationship soon becomes complicated.

The show was created and written by Darren Star, famed for creating some of TV's biggest hits, including, Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place and Sex and the City.

While critics held a tepid view of the Emily in Paris, it proved to be an undeniable hit, rapidly rising to streaming giant Netflix's top spot on release.

In an interview for Vogue Arabia's November issue, Lily admitted that she found the widespread criticism of the show "disheartening"—though she also took it as a "gift."

She explained: "As disheartening as it sometimes is to read these things, it's also a gift; you're being allowed to improve."

Lily also revealed how Star and his fellow producers "championed my opinions and opened me up to an experience that was so rewarding and empowering."

Season 2 of Golden Globe-nominated Emily in Paris is currently shooting in France.
