Emma Stone has revealed a long-held ambition to compete on Jeopardy!—and she won't be content with appearing on the celebrity version of the quiz show.

Currently hosted solely by Jeopardy! uber champ Ken Jennings after Mayim Bialik's recent exit, the show sees three contestants face off against one another each episode, where they boost their cash total by answering clues on a wide range of subjects.

As any fan of the enduringly popular syndicated show knows, contestants are required to respond to the presented clues in question form.

Stone, who recently won a Golden Globe for her efforts in the movie Poor Things, has now revealed that she has made several unsuccessful attempts to compete on Jeopardy!

"I apply every June," she told Variety's Awards Circuit Podcast . "I don't want to go on Celebrity Jeopardy!. I want to earn my stripes. You can only take the test once a year with your email address, and I've never gotten on the show.

"I watch it every single night and I mark down how many answers I get right," the screen star added. "I swear, I could go on Jeopardy!"

The Jeopardy! Anytime Test, which is on the syndicated show's official website, gives hopeful contestants 15 minutes to answer 50 clues (15 seconds each clue) as a way of deducing whether they'd be suitable candidates to compete before cameras.

While Stone, 35, is yet to make the cut on the show, she continues to enjoy success in her day job as an actress. On Sunday, she was seen picking up a Golden Globe Award in the Best Actress in a Musical/Comedy category for Poor Things.

Stone's critically-acclaimed turn in the movie has also seen her pick up an acting nomination for the upcoming Screen Actors Guild Awards. As such, all eyes are on Stone being among the lineup named when the Academy Award nominations are announced.

Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, Poor Things is adapted from Alasdair Gray's 1992 award-winning novel of the same name. The sci-fi comedy tells the story of Bella Baxter, a woman in Victorian London, who is brought back to life by a scientist following her death.

With Baxter having been pregnant at the time of her drowning death, the fetus of her unborn child is placed in her skull, leading to her discovering life all over again as a child in an an adult's body.

In an interview with Dazed magazine, Stone spoke about how portraying a character with a blank slate was a marked rarity.

"Usually you think about how they became the person they are, and why they speak the way they do," she told the publication. "But with Bella, it was an invention. It was freeing. There was no right or wrong."

Poor Things' cast also includes Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef, Christopher Abbott, and Jerrod Carmichael.
