The 74th Emmy Awards nominations will be announced Tuesday, July 12. The nominees will be announced by actor and comedian J.B. Smoove, who has recently appeared in the Spider-Man films, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Melissa Fumero.

Fans can watch the unveiling of this year's potential winners during the livestream ceremony, which begins at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Nominations will stream live on the Emmys website.

Who Will be Nominated at the 2022 Emmys?

After a strong year of TV there are lots of rumours about who could be nominated for an award at the 2022 Emmys.

Fans have predicted that big dramas like Succession, Squid Game and Severance could be in for a successful awards season.

There is also of course Stranger Things, which has dominated headlines since it returned for its two-part fourth season on Netflix earlier this year. The first part of the season, which released in May, is eligible for nomination at the 2022 awards.

Last year, Ted Lasso broke records as the most nominated freshman comedy in Emmy history. The series, which streams on Apple TV+, landed four Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Supporting Actress in A Comedy Series—plus three more awards at the Creative Arts Emmys.

The Crown and The Queen's Gambit were also big winners at the 2021 Emmys, earning 11 awards each. But neither have released a new season this year so are not eligible for nomination.

The 74th Emmy Awards will take place on Monday, September 12, at 8 p.m. ET. The awards ceremony will be streamed live on Peacock for the first time.

Details about the host and presenters are yet to be released, but it's thought that the show will stick to its usual run-time of three hours.

Last year's Emmy Awards were held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. Fans are still waiting to learn the 2022 Emmys venue, which hasn't been announced yet.
