Eric Trump, the second son of the former president, said his family is in possession of surveillance tapes of the FBI raid at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, and this footage will "absolutely" be released "at the right time."

"Will you—you still have the surveillance tape, is that correct? Will you—are you allowed to share that with the country?" Fox News host Sean Hannity asked Eric Trump on Monday.

"Absolutely, Sean. At the right time," Eric Trump replied, adding that all law enforcement officers, including FBI agents, should wear body cameras for transparency reasons.

Eric Trump's claim confirms what Christina Bobb—one of the former president's lawyers—already said last week about security cameras being on at the Florida home during most of the FBI search on Monday, August 8.

According to what Bobb told the right-wing media network Real America's Voice last week, surveillance cameras were off for a short time while the FBI agents talked to Donald Trump's lawyer team, but that the Trump family had seen "the whole thing"—the FBI raid—from New York through surveillance video.

Eric Trump had already mentioned the surveillance tapes of the FBI search of Mar-a-Lago in an interview with DailyMail.com, during which he said the cameras at the Florida residence captured the agents raiding areas they were not authorized to.

According to Eric Trump, the FBI agents searching the Florida resort had asked the surveillance cameras to be off—a request that he suggested was made to cover up improper behavior.

Similar claims have been made by Donald Trump, who ranted on his account on Truth Social—the alternative app he created after being banned from Twitter—that there was something suspicious about the FBI request to not have their raid of the Florida residence recorded.

"The FBI and others from the Federal Government would not let anyone, including my lawyers, be anywhere near the areas that were rummaged and otherwise looked at during the raid on Mar-a-Lago," Trump wrote on Truth Social on August 10.

"Everyone was asked to leave the premises, they wanted to be left alone, without any witnesses to see what they were doing, taking or, hopefully not, 'planting.' Why did they STRONGLY insist on having nobody watching them, everybody out?"

The Wall Street Journal reported that the FBI asked for the surveillance cameras to be shut off "citing officers' safety."

Newsweek has contacted the FBI and Trump's press office for comment.

Prompted by Hannity, Eric Trump called the FBI raid a "fishing" expedition.
