Firefly Lane is returning to Netflix for its second - and final - season.
The show, which stars Sarah Chalke and Katherine Heigl, follows two friends who meet as young girls on their street - Firefly Lane - and become inseparable through over three decades of life changes.

When Is Firefly Lane Season 2's Release Date?
The first nine episodes of the second season of Firefly Lane will be released on Netflix on Friday, December 2.
There will then be seven more episodes that are, according to Netflix, set to launch in 2023, but the streaming giant is yet to confirm a date.
Part two will be final seven episodes of Firefly Lane as the show isn't returning for a third installment.

What Is the Plot of Firefly Lane Season 2?
Netflix confirmed that fans will discover what ended the seemingly unbreakable friendship of Tully and Kate in the new episodes.
At the end of season one, it was revealed that the pair weren't on speaking terms despite their 30-year friendship, though the the reason was never given.
Before that mystery is solved though, viewers will see Kate dealing with the aftermath of Johnny's ill-fated trip to Iraq, while Tully faces a lawsuit for walking away from her talk show, The Girlfriend Hour, and must start her career over from scratch.
Her career upheaval leads Tully on a quest to find the father she never met, against the wishes of her mother, Cloud.

In the scenes from the 1980s, we see Kate and Johnny first fall in love, and Tully's blossoming relationship with cocky sportscaster Danny Diaz.
While in the 1970s, teenage Kate and Tully struggle to keep their friendship together as Cloud goes to jail for dealing drugs and Tully goes to live with her grandmother, far away from Firefly Lane.
Firefly Lane Season 2, part one, is scheduled to be released on Netflix on December 2.
