An ex-adviser to former President Donald Trump was hit with a brutal insult during a recent appearance on a competitive reality television show.

Omarosa Manigault Newman, who first gained national prominence as a contestant on the first season of The Apprentice, went on to briefly work in Trump's administration following his 2016 election win. Months after her exit in late 2017, she penned the book Unhinged, which was highly critical of Trump. Her relationship with the ex-president has been adversarial in the years since.

On Thursday's episode of the E! reality series House of Villains—a competition featuring reality TV personalities viewed as "villains"—Manigault Newman was targeted by fellow contestant Tiffany "New York" Pollard with a vicious verbal takedown. Pollard, who was up for "banishment," unleashed on Manigault Newman after informing her that she did not want her "sympathy vote."

"So, you don't want my sympathy vote?" Manigault Newman said. "You just said, in front of all these people, that you do not want my vote?"

"Since I already said that, Omarosa, may I also say that I find you to be a c***sucking, c**-guzzling Republican c***," Pollard responded. "And I sleep better knowing that you're not in the White House."

The other contestants on the show expressed shock at the remarks, with host Joel McHale also appearing to be taken aback, saying "wow" after Pollard's rant.

Manigault Newman appeared to react with mild amusement and a begrudging respect, saying that she had received the insult from "the legend," while adding that Pollard would be "saying those things from your house tonight."

Pollard was "banished" from the show in a 4-2 vote soon after. After being asked by McHale whether she had any "last words," Pollard shouted to her fellow contestants, "f*** you all, you sons of b****es!"

Newsweek reached out for comment to Manigault Newman via email on Friday.

Manigault Newman built a reputation as an "evil" reality TV character during the original 2004 series of The Apprentice, being called "the most hated woman on television" by The Washington Post at the time.

While she took on more serious duties as the Trump White House director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison, the former president would go on to refer to her as "wacky" after she left his administration.

Trump claimed in an August 2018 post to Twitter, now X, that Manigault Newman had "begged" him for a job with "tears in her eyes," a request that he said he granted only because she "said GREAT things about me - until she got fired!"

Pollard, who gained fame as a contestant on the inaugural 2006 season of Flavor of Love, is also known for her abrasive personality, often referring to herself as the self-styled "HBIC," or "head b**** in charge."

During a press junket for House of Villains, Pollard reportedly said that she had decided to unload on Manigault Newman because she had threatened her supposed status as HBIC.

"Omarosa, bless her heart, but she tried me and I had to remind her of the pecking order," she said, according to Page Six of the New York Post. "I am the HBIC, always will be and I'm the original ... And she tried me."
