At the SEMA 2021 show in Las Vegas this week, classic Ford restoration firm Gateway Bronco will show off a 1972 Ford F-350 that has been modified for high-power and offroading prowess.

With a license from Ford to restore and modify classic F-Series trucks, Gateway Bronco began in 2020 with a commission to use a 1,000-horsepower, supercharged version of Ford's 7.3-liter crate engine they call Godzilla in one of its builds.

"While our Godzilla won't breathe flames, it will lay them down," Gateway Bronco CEO Seth Burgett said in a press release. "Featuring the world's first Godzilla 7.3-liter engine with a Harrop USA Supercharger, and delivering over 1000 horses, this first-of-its kind, handcrafted truck will have SEMA attendees looking over their shoulder for the beast in the building."

The 1972 truck has been painted with Porsche's Miami Blue and Shelby's Wimbledon White. The eight-foot bed is custom-made from barnwood.

Powering the truck is a Ford 7.3-liter, V8 engine paired with a Harrop USA TVS2650 Supercharger that combines to pump out over 1,000 horsepower. The truck runs on a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Harrop supercharger utilizes the same technology that powers the current Shelby GT500 muscle car.

A push-button differential package from Eaton Performance features an Eaton ELocker front and rear differential for optimized traction control.

"Godzilla features our Eaton ELocker, which is an electronic, selectable differential designed for drivers that need traction on-demand, Eaton Aftermarket North America vice president Tim Bauer said in the release." At the flip of a dash switch, drivers can go from open to 100-percent locked. Another flip of the switch deactivates it to resume normal driving."

Distressed bench seats highlight the custom leather interior.

The result is a "Godzilla"-powered 1972 Ford F350 4x4 Sport Crew Cab that will be on display in Las Vegas this week.
