This wedding photographer loves helping happy couples remember their special day with photos that they can cherish for a lifetime. But it always helps when she has the perfect model to capture, and Simon the golden retriever certainly knew how to pose for the camera.
Over the years, Jess Sinatra has seen many couples tailor their big day so it was exactly how they wanted it, and one recent wedding at the Boston Museum of Science was no different. The newlyweds, Caleigh and Steve, couldn't imagine getting married without their dog, Simon, in attendance for the big day.
Sinatra, from Boston, Massachusetts, told Newsweek that Simon was more than happy to take center stage with all of the bridal party, and his wagging tail certainly kept spirits high. "I love having couples that want to include their pets as part of their wedding day. Your pets are such an important and big part of your life, it seems obvious that they should be there," Sinatra said.
As much as Simon looked like he enjoyed all the attention he got during the wedding, Sinatra loved getting to capture his smiling face. She noted that he behaved impeccably throughout, and she was able to keep his eyes trained on the camera by showing his favorite tennis ball to him.

Sinatra told Newsweek: "The couple had mentioned that their dog Simon loves flowers, so we had the idea to do a photo that is similar to another wedding trend where the bridesmaids surround the bride with their bouquets, only we used Simon instead of the bride.
"As a team, we are always happy to help coordinate with our couples to make sure that their pets can be there for at least part of their day. Anytime you get to have dogs around, it is always a good time. A happy doggo and flowers, how could it not be great?"
Involving pets in the big day is becoming an increasingly popular trend among couples, as a survey by WeddingWire found that 91 percent of owners chose to involve their pet in some way. For 30 percent of owners, that meant having their dog in the ceremony and walking him or her down the aisle, while 57 percent chose to have wedding décor inspired by their pup.
As the photos are so important, 54 percent of couples made sure their furry companion was part of the engagement or wedding pictures too, as it certainly wouldn't be the same without them.
On October 21, Sinatra shared a clip of Simon surrounding by the flowers on her TikTok account (@jessdinatraphoto), as well as a picture of the final result. The post delighted many social media users and it's already been viewed over 3.9 million times and received more than 1 million likes.
"I was hoping the video would do well on social media, but I don't think I expected it to do as well as it has. The support has been overwhelmingly positive, and I am so thankful for everyone who has commented and enjoyed the video and the photos," Sinatra said.
"I am happy my little video can be a bright spot in some people's day. I hope dogs and pets will be included in more weddings. They can be busy, with a lot of moving parts, but with the right planning and the help of some family, friends, or a pet service, you can definitely make it happen."
Since going viral, the TikTok post has amassed over 1,600 comments already, with many people lauding Sinatra for capturing such a fun moment.
One comment reads: "This is the only photo that matters."
Another TikToker responded: "He's the main character."
"So nice of you to attend your dog's big day," joked another social media user.
