A Golden Retriever dog's hilarious reaction after he found out his owner had been snacking without him has left the internet in stitches.
In a TikTok video shared on Friday, user puppyy520 showed how their dog woke from a nap to discover that "my mom was eating snacks while I was sleeping."
In the video, the pup walks out of a room looking expectant and confused, in a look that viewers have likened to "disappointment."
"The audacity," wrote one commenter on the video, which has now received more than 1.2 million views.
"Apologize to him now," said another TikToker, while one viewer wrote: "What the fluff."
It might seem like a coincidence, but research shows that our canine friends can tell when we're withholding snacks from them.
In 2021, a study published in the journal Scientific Reports revealed how dogs respond when humans intentionally keep snacks from them.

The study observed 51 dogs as they were separated from their owners by a glass barrier. Within the barrier was a gap where humans could pass food to their pup, which was demonstrated to the dog beforehand.
Setting up three conditions to study the different reactions from the dog participants, the study included one instance where the humans were about to give the dog a treat through the gap before changing their mind; another where the food was "dropped" before it could reach the dog; and one where people tried to give the treat but were stopped by the gap being blocked.
Incredibly, the reactions of the dogs differed between the instances.
When their owner changed their mind about giving the food, dogs were less likely to approach the barrier than when the humans had dropped the food or couldn't get to them. The dogs who had been visibly denied the treats were also more likely to lay down and wag their tails less than the others.
Another viewer of the viral video noted "the betrayal," while another person wrote: "How dare you, mom?"
"It's the pursed lips that do it for me," said another comment: "My goldie used to do the same."
Earlier this year, another dog captured viral attention when he was denied a treat and took matters into his own paws.
The 7-month-old German Shepherd used his jaw to gently open the cabinet containing his treats before making off with a bag of treats in a heist that left the internet laughing itself silly.
