The sweet moment of Luka prancing around his new garden has received more than 700 comments since being posted on August 31.

The dog-food brand Purina says golden retrievers need a garden as they have so much energy, and this explains why Luka is so happy in the video.

The top comment has received more than 5,000 likes: "He's like mom I can RUN here!!"

A majority of the comments are thrilled for Luka, like this one posted by Vanessascraftycreations, which received more than 2,000 likes: "He looked at dad and was like 'why aren't you holding my leash?' So happy for you guys and luka!"

Another TikToker writes: "He is probably thinking… my mom and dad bought me my own park!!!"

However, some users have chosen to focus on the term 'apartment dog', and they aren't impressed.

Attracting almost 1,550 likes, user goodboyaries, said: "I refused to get my pup until we had a house with a yard I personally couldn't handle having a dog in apartments felt so bad."

Another TikToker agreed, writing: "Dogs should have space to express their natural behavior all the time. Not just on an hour-long walk a day!"

Now, Luka is now able to enjoy the great outdoors from the comfort of his home.

In the video, a high fence is visible, which is important for medium to large dogs to ensure they do not escape.

According to Purina, there are a number of things for dog owners to consider to ensure they have a dog-friendly garden, such as avoiding plants like lilies, azaleas, daffodils, tomatoes, foxgloves, yews and hydrangeas that could cause irritation or poisoning.

Avoid using cocoa chips in the garden as an alternative to bark, as these are also poisonous to dogs.

Another top tip for outdoor dogs is to provide them with a wind- and waterproof shelter. This can also double up as a sun-protector on hotter days.

If the temperature reaches unusually high or low levels, bring your dog indoors, even if they're usually an outdoor dog.
