When Is 'Good Trouble' Season 4 Back? Part 2 Premiere Release Date

Good Trouble is returning for the eagerly-awaited second half of season four.

The first nine episodes of the Freeform series aired earlier this year and saw a major shake-up in the show's cast.

The show, which is a spin-off of the family drama series The Fosters, followed sisters Callie and Mariana Adams Foster after they relocated to Los Angeles from San Diego, where the original series was set.

The siblings moved into an apartment building called the Coterie, and the first three seasons saw them navigating their new life with their neighbors and friends.

At the start of the fourth season, however, actress Maia Mitchell, who played Callie, left the show.

Now, fans are desperate to know how this season of Good Trouble will wrap up, especially as a fifth season of the hit, which boasts Jennifer Lopez and her manager Benny Medina as executive producers, is yet to be confirmed by Freeform.

As fans anticipate the final few episodes of Good Trouble, here's what you need to know about when they'll air.

When is Good Trouble season 4 back?

The final four episodes of season four of Good Trouble will begin this Thursday on Freeform.

The first three seasons of Good Trouble are available to stream on Hulu and Disney+. The first half of season four is available on Hulu but no announcement has been made yet about when the new season will be available on Disney+.

Why did Maia Mitchell leave Good Trouble?

Mitchell left her role as Callie to return to her homeland of Australia, after spending lots of time away from her family due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The actress explained her reasons to her fans on Instagram after her final episode aired, writing:

"10 years ago, I auditioned for a little pilot called The Fosters, with no clue of the luck I had stumbled upon. Five seasons later, I was able to continue the journey as Callie when we formed our Good Trouble family. Two shows, 156 episodes, and a chosen family for life.

"While I have been so beyond fortunate to have this career and a job that I love, with not an iota of regret, for quite some time I have suppressed an undeniable gravitational pull to return home to Australia to be closer to my nearest and dearest."

Her exit also saw actor Beau Mirchoff leave his role as Callie's love interest Jamie, with their final scenes seeing the two bump into each other on a plane to Washington, D.C., having both coincidentally landed jobs there.

Good Trouble season four returns this Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Freeform.
