Grey's Anatomy loves a love triangle, and the latest episode on ABC just set up a new one with new character Todd Eames (played by Skylar Astin).
In Season 18, Episode 13, titled "Put the Squeeze on Me" (streaming on Hulu now), Todd was introduced as the brother of Laurie (Tessa Hope Slovis), a pregnant woman with a weak heart valve. Her medical problems, however, did not stop Laurie from trying to set her brother up with Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington).
Her efforts, and Jo and Todd's awkward chemistry, paid off—the pair ended the episode going for a drink at Joe's.

Meet Grey's Anatomy star Skylar Astin
Astin is a 34-year-old actor and singer from New York City, best known for his roles in Pitch Perfect, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist.
In Pitch Perfect he played Jesse Swanson, the aspiring film composer, Treblemakers member and love interest for Anna Kendrick's Beca.
While his character may have romanced Kendrick, Astin was having a real-life romance with another of the Bellas. He and co-star Anna Camp began dating in 2013, the year after the first of the three Pitch Perfect films was released. The pair married in 2016 and divorced in 2019.
In Crazy Ex-Girlfriend the actor took over the role of Greg Serrano in the show's final season following the departure of Santino Fontana. He also had a lead role in Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, another cult musical comedy in which he played the main love interest.
Following the cancellation of that show, however, he has now booked a recurring role in Grey's Anatomy. Per an official character bio from ABC, his new character is: "charming and handsome with a gentle soul, Eames holds a PhD in environmental sciences and loves a good spreadsheet. He is close with his sister, who is a pregnant patient at Grey Sloan Memorial."
