Steve Wampler suffers from cerebral palsy, which is a group of disorders that affect a person's ability to move and maintain balance and posture.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that about 1 in 345 children have been identified with cerebral palsy in the United States.

This condition is more common among boys than girls, and it's typically diagnosed during the first or second year after birth.

Most cerebral palsy cases are related to abnormal development of the brain or damage that happened before or during birth, though some are related to abnormal development of the brain or damage after birth.

The couple, who first met as teens, have now been married for over 25 years and have two kids together, and they have also created a camp in northern California for children with disabilities.
