The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC) has sent fans into a frenzy with its scenes of Heather Gay and her mystery black eye on the latest episode.
The moment of Gay revealing her injury has been being teased since before the third season of the Bravo show even began, after appearing in the trailer for the new installment earlier this year.
Although the circumstances surrounding Gay's injury have now been shown on screen, RHOSLC fans are still in the dark as to exactly how she sustained the painful-looking wound.
Gay stars on RHOSLC with fellow main cast members Jen Shah, Whitney Rose, Lisa Barlow and Meredith Marks, as well as additional stars Angie Katsanevas, Angie Harrington and Danna Bui-Negrete.

The recent episodes of RHOSLC have seen all the ladies, minus Harrington, travel to San Diego for a girls' trip, where several cast members clashed as they tried to hash out their dramas.
On last week's episode, things came to a head during a tense dinner, but later on the ladies appeared to make amends and partied the night away, with Gay eventually being seen heading to bed at about 4 a.m.
During the episode, Gay was seen on a night-time camera answering the door to somebody who had knocked at her room at 4.50 a.m. at the accommodation where the RHOSLC cast were staying in San Diego.
The episode then ended with Gay texting Marks to come to her room the next morning, where she revealed her bruised and swollen eye.

As the latest episode, which aired on December 21, began, flashbacks of the previous evening were played, showing the ladies dancing at a club and having a great time, despite the earlier arguments.
Shah was then seen visiting Gay the morning after and questioning her over what had happened the night before.
"I don't wanna get anyone in trouble, Jen, but that's why I need you to, like, help me figure out if someone wants to talk about what really happened last night. We need a cover story is what I'm saying right now," Gay, who also had scratches on her arm, said.
Marks then joined the pair in the room as the footage that ended the previous episode - of Gay revealing her eye to Marks - was shown.

It was then revealed that it was several of the women who entered Gay's room after she'd gone to bed and that they had continued the party and had a good time, despite it previously being suggested that whoever had knocked on Gay's door had injured her.
Gay insisted to Marks and Shah that she didn't know what happened, even though she'd just told Shah that she needed a "cover story," and throughout the episode refused to say what had happened.
"You know what happened," Marks said to her friend, but Gay responded: "I don't recall."
Gay later revealed her injury to the rest of the cast, saying: "We're not sure what happened last night, but things got a little rough," before taking off her sunglasses.

"Well, I think we all know what happened. I just think we don't wanna talk about it," she then added, confusing her cast mates.
A producer was seen asking Gay what she thinks happened in her solo confessional interview, to which she responded "Well, what does it look like?...I'm just gonna shut down and I'm not gonna talk about it."
A producer later asked: "So you're not going to tell us what happened?" as Gay said: "Well, I can't, and that's the game of all of this. Like, I'm not gonna say it until somebody else says it, you know what I mean? Like, I'm not gonna spew my theories until everybody spews theirs. Like, this is just a game of, like, Texas Hold'em, and nobody is showing their cards."
As the episode ended, fans were no closer to discovering the truth about Gay's eye as the producer asked Gay who she was trying to protect, to which the star responded: "Myself."
As the RHOSLC installment came to an end, fans were quick to express their shock over Gay's injury and the fact that we still don't know the truth about what happened.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer posted: "Sooooo are we all not gonna find out who to did this? Aren't there cameras in the hallway? Where was production???? I WANNA KNOW HEATHER!!! #RHOSLC."
